1 Thessaloninas 2:12; That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto His kingdom and glory.
The Lord has placed a message upon my heart for those of us who are followers of Jesus. The Lord has impressed upon my heart the we who are His followers must repent of our lack of responsiveness to the Lord's words which tells us to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. Luke 12:1 states; In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, He began to say unto His disciples first of all, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. The Lord Jesus is telling us that as His followers, we must not say one thing and do another. We must not only talk the talk, but we must walk the walk as well. In the age in which we live, many are claimimg to be one thing and are living contrary to that which they claim to be. We as followers of Jesus must not fall into the temptation to fall back into the sins of the flesh walking according to the ways of the world. We must not be plankeyed saints that point their finger of judgement at their brother or sister in the Lord, when we ourselves are steeped in the very same sins. Matthew 7-3-5 states; And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
The Lord is very clear here when He tells us to beware of hypocrisy in our own lives. So, the question is, are we as followers of Jesus living lives worthy of being called just that, a follower of Jesus? Are we claiming to be Christians while living just the opposite of how the Lord would have us live? Are we claiming to be something that we are not? It is time for those who claim to be followers of Jesus to examine our lives, and work out our own salvation with fear and trembling before the Lord. It is time that we live worthy lives, that glorify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We must examine our lives and see if the fruit of our lives is indeed good, or evil. If the fruit of our lives is such that it is pleasing to the Lord, our spirit will bear witness and we will know. If the fruit of our lives is otherwise, we wiil know this as well. We must ask ourselves this question, do our lives line up with the word of God or not? Do not be deceived, those that are of His fold know His voice, and they obey His voice. We are not to adorn the outward man, but the innermost parts of our heart. We are to have a heart that is obedient to the Lord Jesus, and His will for our lives. We are commanded to bear good fruit, and to bring about a return on our Lord's investment which is His gift of salvation. Again I ask, are you living a life worthy of being called a follower of Jesus that glorifies Him, or is your life such that it glorifies Him not and is crucifying Him all over again? Is your life a light to the rest of the world, or is it darkness? Examine your hearts my brethren, and be ye holy as He is holy. We are called to turn from our sin and be saved. Have you turned from your sin, or are you still living according to the lusts of the flesh? Examine your lives, and come to the Lord in humility and repentance, for the hour is fast approaching when we will be called to give an account of our lives, and how we lived them. Are we living lives that glorify Jesus, or are we living lives that bring a reproach upon that most holy of names?
In this hour we are seeing that many of those who claim that they are of the household of faith are indeed false brethren. They are having a form of godliness, but are denying the power thereof, and are claiming to be followers of the Lord Jesus but are not. Mark them my brethren, and beware, for they bring division and heresy into the house of the Lord. Those who teach a false gospel have infiltrated the church, and are teaching damnable heresies and doctrines of devils calling those teachings the word of the Lord. They are teaching that we can live a life steeped in sin, and the Lord approves. No, the Lord does not approve, and those that teach such evil, will be judged. Because of their evil teachings, many are being led astray, and are sinning against the Lord Jesus. These whitewashed tombs who teach these falsities will be held to give an account on that day, and they will be judged accordingly. Because of their evil teachings, they are causing the multitudes to follow a false gospel which makes the Lord into a servant of man which is blasphemy. Those who teach this false gospel will suffer God's wrath not only in this life, but in the life to come. Mark 9:42 states; And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and were cast into the sea. The Lord will not suffer those who are false brethren, and false teachers, and false prophets, and false apostles to prosper. He will judge those who claim to be speaking in His hoily name, yet cause the Lord's little ones to sin through their false teachings. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30-31 states; For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Beware ye wolves in sheep's clothing, for the Lord is not mocked, and He is not fooled. He knows the heart of man, and He knows His own, and He will repay. Those who are teaching a false gospel in the name of the Lord for filthy lucre, and worldly gain will be judged according to their evil works. None are exempt from this, no matter who they are for the Lord is no respector of persons. Be warned, repent of your sins, and be ye converted, for the Lord will not strive with man, nor will He be mocked. The Lord God is not fooled and He will repay. Romans 12:19 states; Do not take revenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay" says the Lord.
Yes my brethren, it is time for those of the household of faith to mark them that call themselves followers of the Lord Jesus but walk contrary to His word and His will. It is time that we mark them that bring in damnable heresies into the house of the Lord, and rebuke them for teaching falsely. It is time for us as followers of the Lord Jesus to fall on our faces before the Lord, and repent of our sins against Him. it is time for those who call themselves Christians to walk worthy lives that glorify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Lord is calling us as His followers to be the kings and priests that He has called us to be, and choose this day whom we will serve. Will you serve the world and the lusts of the flesh and deny the Lord Jesus? Or, will you repent in sackcloth and ashes and forsake this world and serve the Lord thy God? The choice is up to you. However, by not making a choice right now, you are indeed making a choice to continue in your sin, denying the Lord Jesus by default. Do you profess to be a follower of Jesus, but live contrary to His holy word and will for your life? if this is indeed the case, the Lord is calling you to repent and take up your cross and follow Him now, today, forever. By taking up our cross, we are crucifying our flesh on that cross daily. We must live and walk in the Spirit every moment of every day, and give no place to the devil. We must read the word of the Lord and consume it, for it is our spiritual meat, and it is the Lord's written will for our lives. Will you surrender to the Lord today?
Will you surrender your will for your life and accept His perfect will? Will you seek His holy face, and be salt and light in this lost and dying world? Today is the day of salvation, and it is time for us to seek the face of the Lord, and His will for our lives like never before. I encourage you my brethren to walk worthy of the Lord Jesus and be encouraged as well, that the Lord is the rewarder of them that love Him and diligently seek Him. Ephesians 4:1 states; I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called. Walk worthy my brethren, walk worthy. Amen.
For not judging you sure are doing a lot of it. Jesus put my sins as far as the east is to the west. My focus is on The Lord and God's Love. The Holy Spirit changes us with the renewing of Our minds, from the inside out. Not from the outside in. The fact is in my first 40 years I broke almost every law there is, I am a filthy rag. Praise The Lord for being Our Lamb, in His Righteousness I can walk boldy before the Throne of God! Awesome!
