It is always amazing to me when I hear about the percentage of people in in US who claim to be “Christian” on the Census but for some reason or another choose not to be involved with a church community. Although each person has a different reason I have found that most of these reasons derive from a deeper sense of being an outcast. I find that despite general knowledge that this sub-set of Christians exist there hasn’t been very much progress on either side. This blogger strives to bring understanding to this issue and hopefully some form of reconciliation within our church communities. For the outcast I hope to be a voice of understanding and hope but also to teach and encourage ways to minimize the victim complex that is so difficult to overcome for many. For the non-outcast I hope to bring awareness and strategies to help close the gap.
It is so difficult for many to overcome, because the majority do not teach the truly awesome Power of God that resides in us, that are believers. We need to start telling the truth, get out of self, focus on Jesus and then lives are transformed. These words are what causes us to walk outside of Jesus:::::::Self-esteem, Self-searching, self-empowerment, self, self self. Yes, I very much agree that as Believers we need to find other Believers, for instruction, and unity.
