The way of Cain...

The way of Cain...

We all recognize Adam and Eve and the Fall of man in the Garden of Eden. What about Cain who killed his brother Abel? Cain violated life, nature, and God with the murder of his dear brother Abel...without human example. Notice the way of Cain?  Let's compare Cain's human religious works (without a cry for mercy) with Abel's offering of  sacrifice unto God.

Gen. 4: 2-4...Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

While Abel obeyed God...Cain disobeyed God and missed God's Divine favor. Cain was without confession or the witness of righteousness in his heart.

Heb. 11:4...By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous,

Gen. 4:5...But unto Cain and to his offering he (God) had not respect.

"The way of  Cain consisted of self made human religious worship".

1 John 3:12...Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one,

The wicked one was Cain's inherited propensity of sin. Simply termed as the, "Adamic Nature" that has tainted the human family since the Transgression of Adam.

Perhaps someone has departed from the faith of their believing parents. Abel didn't depart from the faith, but Cain did. Cain was a defiant and open sinner against the God of Creation. Cain was the first child of the fallen race, after the Fall of Adam. Cain had no experiential background in sin or disobedience to God. Cain was the first Biblical example of an unbeliever. The way of Cain was blind to the Devil's deception upon his mother, Eve. Cain heard from God directly and knew God...yet Cain still left the presence of God. Cain's ways were evil, defiant, and godless. Unlike Abel, Cain rejected what God wanted from him concerning religious worship. Cain turned against the God of all Creation.

Gen 4:16...and Cain went out from the presence of the LORD

Let's examine to the way of Cain in light of the present human family. Compare humanity and the unbelieving world today, with the self made human religious ways of Cain. If we have eyes to see we can clearly see that our modern religious world has drifted into the way of Cain. The ways of Cain have become a beacon in the life of society. Those who say God is about love and not about Judgment have gone in the way of Cain. Those who substitute religious works and religious ceremony for the death and resurrection of Saviour have gone the way of Cain. Those who substitute philosophy for Divine Revelation have gone the way of Cain. Society is elevated with the nature and ways of Cain. Cain is in the business world. Cain is in the workplace. Cain is in our educational systems. Cain has subtly formed in the Religious world.

Jude 1:11...Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain,

Someday Cain and those who have gone the way of Cain will be in the lake of fire...

"There is only one way out of the ways of Cain. That is finding the person of Christ; finding personal forgiveness through Christ's shed blood at Calvary; obtaining a righteous witness in your heart; and going through life God's way".

Do you not realize that God protected Cain and impuned no sin to him. Also, his firstborn was Enoch who was translated to Heaven. In the rest of the Old Testament God favored those who were righteous. No sin was impuned until the Mosiac Law. The reason for the Mosiac Law was to show us that we could not possibly show ourself righteous to Him. Thus the need for Jesus.

Now as is always the case with those who condemn, you catch the Old Testament Wrath of God, and skip over the Love of God. Jude 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Yes, there is a Judgement Day. Yes, many will be lost forever. Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men." These are Angels, who are messengers of God saying "on earth peace, good will toward me. It does not say peace between men. In fact Jesus stated he did not come to bring Peace between men that fathers against sons, sons against fathers, mothers against daughters daughters against mother. Nope it is Peace from God towards men. There was now A New Covenant of Peace. Those who think they can earn righteousness on their own are sorely mistaken. Paul constantly warns against putting ourselves back under the Law. When we do that we are denying what Jesus did for us. Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is Life because of righteousness." Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God."

Now here's the zinger Jesus did not condemn the sinners. He condemned the Learned People of the Day (Pharisees) and Sadducees. The very ones who condemned the sinners. He even protected the adultress from being stoned.........does that sound like a Wrathful God to You? Jesus told us to forgive in one day one person who trespasses against us 7x70 times in one day. Judge as you would be judged. To judge is to put yourself back under the law of Moses which none can stand except Jesus. When we accept Jesus' Sacrifice, it is not that his sacrifice stands until we sin again. It is once for all..........period. Only two ways to lose it........being reprobate and Blashpeme the Holy Spirit.1 Corinthians 5:5 Even Paul stated to  "deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord Jesus." Condemnation is of the Devil, Love is of God, period point blank. It is all there in Romans, Hebrews, Ephesians. Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord". One last statement: If we are without Love we Do Not Know God. Love is not a message of condemnation, adding (I say this out of love) that is man's kind of love not God's. No Love is following Jesus' example and allowing the Holy Spirit to work within, than it will show on the outside. One does not wash just the outside of the cup, then it is still dirty. One washes the inside of the cup first.
