Joshua 24:15; And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
The Lord Jesus has placed a message upon my heart that speaks to us as His followers. The Lord is calling us to make a choice this day of whether we will serve Him or not. We often times speak with our lips, and do just the opposite of what we say that we are going to do. We are often times double minded in the things that we do, and the Lord is calling us to put aside all double mindedness, and take up our cross and follow Him. It is time for those of us who are of the household of faith to put aside our love of the world, and realize that to be friends with the world is to be an enemy of God. James 4:4 states; Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. We must come to an understanding that we are living in the last days, and as things wax worse, we as followers of Jesus will be persecuted for our belief in Him and in His holy Word. It is time to prepare our hearts for that which is coming upon mankind in these last days.
My brethren, what will your choice be? Will you surrender to the perfect will of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, or will you continue on in sin and compromise with the world? When I ask this question, I am asking it of myself first. I know that we are embarking upon perilous times, and that we must be girded up in the Lord like never before. it is time to preach the true Gospel of our Lord, and not a watered down version of it. The Church as a whole has become lukewarm, and is compromising with the world, and man's vain philosophies. The Lord is calling the Church to repent of its friendship with the world at this time. There is no more time to live in compromise with the world. We must heed the call of our Lord to come out from among them, and be separate. 2 Corinthians 6:17 states; Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you. Will you heed the call of the Lord today and come out from among them, and be separate?
We are living in such a time when the Church has a form of Godliness, but denies the power thereof. It is time for those who are pastors to preach the true Gospel of our Lord by calling sin just exactly what it is, and that is by preaching that sin is sin. Those who are called to be watchmen in these last days are asleep on their watch. Why are they not crying from the highest mountain top that we must turn away from our sin? Those who are called in these last days to be watchmen are not doing what the Lord has called them to do, and they will give an account before the Lord Jesus one day very soon. It is time for those of the household of faith to pray like never before, and seek the face of our Lord. We must repent of our sin and compromise and ask the Lord's forgiveness. We must accept the chastening of the Lord, for those in whom He loves, He chastens.
My beloved brethren, choose ye this day whom you will serve. Will you serve darkness, or will you serve the Lord? As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. I will preach from the highest mountain top that my Lord Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I will preach that He is the Son of God, and that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no man comes to the Father but by Him. I will preach that He is coming again for a bride that is without spot or wrinkle. I will preach that the Lord will judge sin, and those that commit it. I will preach that we are living in the last days, and that our Saviour will be returning very soon. Will you my brethren do the same? Will you choose this day to serve the Lord, and surrender all to Him? Will you take a stand against sin in your lives, and be holy as He is holy? Choose this day whom you will serve.
