Maybe, Might, Hope .............Words with a Question Mark
I have seen that we really rely on others to interpret the Bible for us. I choose to take the Bible literally. When we read that Moses through God parted the Red Sea...........guess what, that's what I believe. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
Titus 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie promised long ages ago.
In these two examples there is no question mark as some would have you believe. Hope in the Greek means confident expectation. We must remember the difference of time and culture. So Titus 1:2 is actually "In the confident expectation of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie promised long ages ago".
In John 3:16 in the same way the "should" is much the same, we in our culture use "should" as a question mark, it isn't. Now to clarify; whoever believeth in Him, this is as it reads, if you believe than you recieve. God searches the Heart of Man and knows if our belief is a true heart belief. There is no decieving The Father. Also, true believers have the fruits of the Holy Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, forebearance, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control. Look into your own heart and see if this is true if not repent, which simply means to change. How do we change? Simply by not relying on ourself but by living in God's Grace. Which means to live by God's ability and Power not ours. Under the Law we had to use our own ability not to sin, since Christ raised us above the Law, we use God's Ability to live righteously, through Jesus.
Now another subject altogether, we get what we look for. If we look for Christ than that is what we get. If we look for Satan, then we give him a landing strip to come in. It is all about where our focus is. In fact a deliverer, who removes demons from others states the only demons or unclean spirits in her house is when there is one who is possessed in her living room and then they aren't there for long. If we look for Satan and his dominions we'll find them, because we are then inviting them in. It is where our focus is. Sin is the same way if we look for it we'll find it. Instead, if we focus on the righteousness we have in Christ, then that's what we'll find. Seek and you shall find, knock and the door will open. This happens both ways Seek God and Jesus then you will find Them. Seek sin and the Devil and that's what you will get!
