Being very new to blogging, I have been spending some time on this site finding out just how to blog. On my travels through these pages I found a short video of David Wilkerson preaching on anguish of soul. It was very powerful and emotional and just revealed the preacher this man is. It reminded me that I have known great anguish of soul. On the occasions when I have been successful in stilling my mind enough to be open to God's promptings, I have felt the anguish Mr Wilkerson speaks of. Where the burden for the lost is so overwhelming that tears have to be shed in a plea for mercy towards them. And that God will hold back from judgement until so many more millions come to him. In a day when sin abounds, grace abounds also. I pray today that once again, I and others will be moved by the Spirit to undertake for the salvation of many.
One very effective way of saving a soul, is intercession. I read a very compelling book Praying Effectively for the Lost by Lee E. Thomas. I have put his suggestions to practice. What is the use of sharing a message, to one of a hardened heart? God must first prepare his heart. Spreading the message is effective, but much more so when accompanied with the power of prayer.
