Life Lessons 2

Dearly Loved Friends,
I think we all know what our weak spots are, or we think we do, there is someone who knows all our weaknesses, God. Dear Friends I encourage you to make use of your spiritual armor daily. Ephesians 6 lays it out for you. It outlines the parts of the armor. Shield of faith, sword of truth, shoes of the gospel, breastplate of righteousness, and if you put on every day you will be sure to cover all your weak spots with the strength of God.
It’s when we are the weakest, sweets, that God’s grace is all sufficient for us. Ever notice that when you feel weak, tired, stressed and drained and you pray for strength and grace you immediately receive what you ask for? Why is that? Because, sweetness, God’s word promises it!
And now a word about forgiveness, my dear friends. FORGIVENESS is the word for today, so remember it! It seems like it’s been popping up everywhere in my life lately. I’ve heard it songs on the radio, in sermons, in conversations and especially talked about on Air 1 by Brant Hansen. Seems like I might be getting a word from God that I need to learn about forgiveness. Maybe there are some things in my life that need to be resolved before I can live the life God desires for me. I struggle, my loves, with crippling guilt and regret and I need to forgive, forget, and ask God to forgive me and forgive myself. Confession to God and falling on your face before him and asking him to forgive you for your sinful attitude comes first and then either going face to face to ask forgiveness or calling the person and then you forgive yourself. Let it go! It’s not worth the price you have to pay for holding on to it.
The next word for the day is RESOLVE. No not the stain remover! But it sure comes in handy when you are indecisive; resolve sure helps you through the times when temptation comes around. Godly resolve is even better and probably a little more effective when you are coming up against the evil temptations of this World. If you would like to know more on this subject read Daniel chapter 2.
WISDOM is the next word- Hey we all need it in our lives. Don’t deny it just because you think you are already intelligent. Let me lend a machete to your intellectual thicket, intelligence and smarts are not the same as wisdom. Wisdom helps you prioritize your life and it helps you to live a Godly life. What’s important to you? Is it the Bible or your favorite TV show? Is it loving people or simply loving you? Is it giving to others of your time, talents and treasures or is it making more money for you? A lot of hard questions huh? Think about them but be careful that you don’t go too far and find yourself on the fluffy bunny trail. If you want to know more about Wisdom read Proverbs.
Once you accept Jesus, you are his. He never stops loving you, no matter if everyone else does or even you stop loving yourself. His love is unconditional, he’s not like some people who only love you if you do the right things and if you mess up bad they just drop you like a hot potato and stop loving you! Nope, you belong to God. Here’s the deal: You belong to God, lock, stock and barrel! Now I want you know that for a long time I too struggled with this concept and was very depressed because I thought I had messed my life up so bad that God didn’t love me anymore. So not true, let me tell you! God doesn’t love me or you based on merit, he shows us his unending Grace and Mercy!
I want to say a couple more things because my heart is burdened for you my loves. I want you to know that I am not perfect at all. I try not be a Pharisee but sometimes I just can’t help it and I tend to judge others and myself too harshly and then God checks my heart. I’m like so bent toward rule and law it’s ridiculous. My loves, please do not misunderstand me I follow the law and I love being ruled by law but the thing is, beloved, God has us called to live by grace and not judge others. The Bible says to look at the plank in your own eye before you pick the sliver out of your brother’s eye. Kinda harsh but really think about it c’mon now take a minute and seriously think about it with hopping down the bunny trail with Peter Cottontail.
Do you long for a deeper relationship with the Lord? You have to be in the Word and be praying and communing with your Father every day, night, and every chance you get. Beloved ones in Christ and my loves please plug into a local church and then get involved and find a place to serve God. Go to a small group and connect with other believers. Loves, I just want you to know that I only write this for your edification! These words come from my heart to yours dear ones! I love you and so does our beautiful Lord and Savior Jesus of Nazareth who died 2000 years ago to redeem you and make you his! Did you know that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!! So amazingly COOL! We truly do serve and love an AWESOME God, perfect in all his ways!!!
The last thing I want to say to you beloved ones, is about  LUST. I know that we all struggle with it. It’s practically unavoidable. I have struggled with this since my teenage years. It’s crippling my loves. It’s something that is addicting like a drug, like alcohol. Lust is something you feel obsessively all the time and when you see an attractive person that you are enamored with or have a ginormous crush on. Don’t my loves, let it get to you! It’s pure poison to your soul!! Jesus is the one and only LOVER of your soul! Dudes, if you are married keep on being faithful to your wife, she deserves it and by all means please don’t be ogling other women either when you are with her or by yourself! Let’s not go down that extremely slippery slope, ok? I’ll talk more to the guys in another post, but for now I’d like to address my beloved sisters in Christ, Girl you do not need to dress immodestly to get attention! Oh no please don’t slide into that shade of grey! Don’t even go there honey! Guess what sweetie? Jesus loves you and desires for you to be his and his alone! You, sweet thing, do not need to show yourself to boys or men to get approval! In Proverbs 31 there is a wonderful description of the virtuous woman read that and pray. Oh honey I feel for you and love you much, so take some loving advice from your sister in Christ, create a new, modest image for yourself and only live for Jesus not for the people you, sweetheart, feel a need to impress.
Sweet! I love you all my dearly loved friends! Girls and guys please know that not only do I love you but there is someone who loves you more! JESUS.
You are constantly in my prayers, sweet children of God, loves, you are constantly on my heart and mind!
Love you all in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior,   Alex (Jer. 29:11)
