Gods Ways And Our Ways

Isaiah 55:8-9

One thing that we as Christians need to remember is that Gods ways are not our ways. His way of doing things is far greater than our way of doing things. His thoughts are far greater than ours.

We may have something that we desire for God to do in our lives and we probably also have a way that we want Him to do it if we would just admit it. But oftentimes God accomplishes His will in our lives in ways that we ourselves would not choose. He may use that person that you do not particularly care for to meet a need in your life. The job that God provides you with may not be the kind of job that you wanted. Or His healing of some health issue may involve surgery, when you wanted healing without the surgery. But we must realize and accept the fact that He does know what is best for us, not only here in this life but for all eternity. And we must also be willing to accept the means by which He chooses to work in our lives.

We may view our way as best, but the truth is His way is best. He sees things that we cannot. He knows things that we do not know. His plan is perfect, and His way of accomplishing it is perfect as well.

The question is, are we going to trust Him ? Are we going to accept that his way is higher than ours ? That His thoughts and plans are higher than ours ? The wise person will relize that God is indeed infinitely smarter than we are and that because of His great love for us He can only do what is best for us in the long run. We may decide that our way is better, choose that way, and suffer the consequences, but even in that Gods love for us does not change. His ways are higher and we do well to seek those ways and accept them. When we do we will see that God is without a doubt trustworthy and we will reap the benefits of obedience to Him.
