Come have your way among us, Lord!

Many believers have said through prayer or worship – come have your way among us!  What are we really saying, and do we really want it to actually happen…Because if Jesus really does come among us,it will not look, feel or sound like a typical service that is controlled, derived or scheduled by the leaders of the Church.

What are we saying to Jesus when we ask Him to come our way?  What do you want or expect it to be like?  For me personally, I dream of the roof coming of the church, angels come down to minister, the pulpit split in two and the congregation blown away by His presence and Glory – just for starters!

Here is a better picture!  Is this what you mean, when you are asking Jesus to come your way?

Acts 2:1-4

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spiritenab led them.

Let the winds of Heaven blow Lord!  Now it doesn’t always have to be in this manner, He does move upon hearts with Love and minister in different ways.  The Holy Spirit is gentle, full of Love and ministers in that fashion.

Let’s get back to my dream of the movement of God!  If we can dream it and it brings Glory to the name of Jesus – I believe He is able to fulfill that dream!  Why would I dream of the Lord to come is this way?  To grab the hearts that are lost,to heal the sick and to bring freedom to those that are bound.

When I ask, Lord, come have your way among us – that is just what I want!  For the Holy Spirit to move through the meeting and use the body to minister – or sit back and allow the Lord to have His ministering angels do the work of Heaven – I will take either way!  My heart is to see and hear the Name of Jesus be glorified and no other.

My passion, desire and cry is to see the Holy Spirit move upon meeting after meeting bringing salvation to the lost, healing to the sick or hurting, hope to the hopeless, freedom to those that are fearful, songs of praise, joy to those that have lost their joy of salvation – and if that isn’t enough, because we serve a mighty, awesome, wonderful, powerful God –release some signs, wonders and miracles to make it known that Jesus walked among today!

I want the Lord to come in a sound blowing of a violent wind from Heaven, why?  Then there is no question – is this the work of the Lord Jesus!  Father fill our Churches as we meet and call upon your name and ask for you to come among us!

Our church meetings should be known for the supernatural movement of God.  Not in a weird way, but in ways that the news is spreading and those that are lost come to see what is going on and have an encounter with Jesus and give their heart to Him.  We ask for Jesus to come among us for the greater good – to see His kingdom prosper – not for our own ministry to get recognized.

I do believe that Jesus, through the Holy Spirit wants to use us to move and do His ministering. The Lord uses us to bring Healing, deliverance, salvation and guidance to those that are get ministered too.  We need to be in a prayerful state, asking the Lord to move upon the congregation and be open if the Holy Spirit is nudging your to be a minister at that time.

I believe for the Lord to fall among us as we read above, it comes out of a place of prayer, praise and obedience to His Word.  Yes, the Lord can show up any time– and I hope that He does, but I do believe that the Lord is looking for a body that is seeking and has a hunger to be used to bring revival to their community.  Is this your body?  Is this your desire?

In this time of the Lord coming upon us, we will feel the refreshing winds of heaven, the gentleness of His love upon our hearts and a bond between the brethren.  This is my desire to see His spirit fall upon the body of Christ – which it will bring an outpouring to see the Lost saved.  Yes,God always moves for a purpose (and there can be fun in the spirit) as He moves.

We need to stir up the body of Christ for this hunger, not for a quick fix – but for a transformation! We need to grasp the heart and mind of Christ for our community – His heart is to fall among us!  I hope this little blog stirs you up to go into your prayer time and seek after God to move upon your church, home and community.

When we ask “come among us” believe that He will and have faith in what that all means – Yes the movement of the Holy Spirit to bring the activation of His gifts among the brethren that releases an outpouring of salvation, words of wisdom and knowledge.

Be Blessed
