WE MUST ALL STAND IN FRONT OF THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF GOD !!!
We all sin !!! In fact, we all are constantly sinning and in most cases we do not even realize that what we are doing is a sin. But, because of the astonishing grace of God and the actions of our Lord, Jesus, those sins are forgiven… However, those sins may be forgiven but they are not forgotten. Each of us must stand in front of God and give account of everything that we have done, whether good or bad. We do not get a free pass, our sins are recorded and we must explain all to God on the Day of Judgment.
Now, many of our sins are repeated over and over again and it is very easy to say that it does not matter because we are forgiven. Paul warns us of this many times in many ways that this will not be looked upon kindly. There are some that do not even ask forgiveness of our daily sinning because those sins have already been forgiven. But, it is extremely important to ask God for His forgiveness every day because after awhile, we begin to see a pattern in our lives of sin that can be stopped if we are aware of them. When a person speaks with God on a daily basis and talks about his or her sins of that day, that person soon begins to realize that we are doing the same wrong thing all of the time. Awareness is the beginning of attempting to change those patterns and become better people and better Christians. We may not succeed in our attempts to overcome satanic influences, but we will never overcome anything if we do not try. God is very pleased with those who humble themselves and recognize our weaknesses and come to Him and acknowledge our sins. But, the sincerity of that confession must be followed up with repentance and the will and effort to change…
It is very easy to think that because we have accepted Christ as our Savior that we are fine but, that is just satanic thinking because it just is not that easy. We are required to show commitment to that acceptance and do everything possible to change our lives to emulate Jesus in all ways. Claiming Christianity does not get you anything, but being a Christian is the key that opens the gates to eternal life in the presence of God. Being a Christian is a way of life not just a way of thinking and each of us should examine our lives and actions and see which comes first. And, for the most part, if a person were to say that God comes above all else in their lives, they just sinned because that would be a lie. When a feeling of shame begins to enter into your life, then we will know that we are on the right road… For many, this feeling never comes because they believe that their constant sinning is alright because it is a human propensity, but that is just an excuse for their lack of commitment. We can never stop all of our sinning, but we certainly can stop some and that takes work. But, if a person is truly sincere, they will be pleasantly surprised at the help they will get. Overcoming our individual weaknesses is a very rewarding accomplishment and indicates to our Lord our true commitment.
