Our Sins Are Gone!

"I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation."

~2Corinthians 6:2~

We talk about it often. God has forgiven our sins through the blood of Christ. At times, however, it seems we forget just how great a gift this is...

Think of it for a moment. How often do we sin? Consider how many times we speak, think, or act in a sinful manner. We all sin, a lot; every day we break the perfect law of God. Everyone does, "there is no one righteous, not even one..." (Romans 3:10).

My point is not to sadden us with all this talk of sin. However, from time to time, we need to stop and consider just how sinful we are. To do so helps us to continue to appreciate the magnitude of God's gift of grace. It is the single most important expression of love ever made!

No matter what the sin, nor how often we commit sin, we have God's promise that He will not count it against us in that final day. As long as we try to live in the light of God's will, we have this promise of forgiveness. The above verse serves as a reminder of that fact. His grace is upon us now, and every day, until Jesus Christ returns to collect His faithful.

Indeed, we should word a prayer of thanksgiving for this blessing, and never take the scope of God's loving nature for granted...
