Blog 18: Feeling...

Alot of us here about how the closer we are to GOD the better we feel, or our lives appear to be. Though life may not necessarily be better, it feels like it does because of our closeness to GOD and his love. I'm not just the only guy who feels or thinks like this, there's the youth pastors at my church, the senior pastor, faithfully mature followers of GOD & Jesus. So wouldn't it make sense that since the closer we are to GOD the better we feel, that the farther away from GOD the worse we feel.

There could be alot of reasons for this, for some people they have a wrong view of GOD and can't live up to the GOD they think
GOD is (read Making Sense of Spirituality, chapter 4 I think, by Cliff Sanders for clearer information on that), maybe you’re like my youth pastor and it's when you don't prey like you normally do, or maybe you’re like me and it's when you do something you know you’re not supposed to do.

What happens to me is I get really grumpy, I get extremely irritable, and I say things I wouldn't normally say. It brings out the me I was before I found GOD, and I just all around feel terrible. I end up hurting someone’s feelings, and then I feel even worse. So I do my best to stay close to GOD, and away from things that separate me from GOD. That's something I actually challenge some of my friends that I can see away from GOD, and they are Christians, to do.

It's just as hard for them as it is for me, but with GOD's help I can do it. So may GOD be with us, as we go through our daily lives, and fight the temptations society and the Devil throw at us.
