If you've been a Christian for at least a year you've probably been in a religious argument with a friend, your family, or someone of another faith. And that's gonna happen, we're gonna face opposition, just like Jesus said we would. But most times we, me included, don't argue in the beat way. We argue very aggressively & inconsiderately.
This tends to turn people away from the argument, & leave a bad taste in their mouth for Christianity. I've been in my fair share of arguments & I think I found a way to make the argument, or debate, a little more effective.
1) Know what you're talking about. Don't talk about something you don't know alot about, you'll seem like an idiot, and leave a bad taste for Christianity in their mouth.
2) Know how much they know, like my friends who told me that the Bible is just teaching intolerance, people are misinformed about the Bible & Christianity. So they're as unprepared as you are.
3) Make sensible arguments, and have something to back it up. Have some Bible verses or historical evidence, like some research or some history books.
This has helped me out in many arguments.
May GOD be with us, as we teach others the truth of Christianity & the Bible.
