Getting Seed In The Ground

As I awaken within my spirit I heard these words, “Egypt had darkness, but my people had light”. I knew what the Spirit of God was speaking to my heart. It was in reference to the plague of darkness that came upon Egypt prior to Israel being delivered from bondage after 430 years. You can read about it in the book of Exodus chapter ten. I also knew that God was speaking to about something that is ringing in my spirit even as I sat at my computer on this early morning and type out this blog. There is darkness, like a thick cloud engulfing this world of ours. It is a judicial darkness. A judgment, if you please. If you study the tenth chapter of Exodus you will find when the plague of darkness rolled over Egypt, the people of God were the only ones who had light. Once again that darkness is rolling around this globe. But, this time those who are walking in this principle will be the ones who will walk in light, while others will walk in confusion, which is exactly what the darkness represents. Allow me to explain.

As believers we have been called to be the light of the world. The greatest way for us to be light in this hour is to walk with the blessings of the Lord upon our lives. How do I get the blessings of the Lord upon me? Through the principle of sowing and reaping. Feel free to disagree. Feel free to prove me wrong. Yet, while the world is reeling under the weight of huge financial loss over the past several days, the people of God who operate under this anointing of giving will find themselves so blessed of God that there will be a distinction between them and the world, as it was for Egypt and Israel when the plague of darkness covered the land. The people of God who have learned how to sow and reap will walk in joy, freedom, peace, abundance, and victory, while the world walks is absolute fear.
I have said this even to my own congregation, “if you want your bills paid, learn the principle of tithing. But, if you want to walk in abundance, learn how to give above your tithe”. Can’t afford to tithe? My friend, you and I will only survive, by learning this principle. But, when we begin to become givers, releasing our money by faith into the kingdom of God, it is then that we step into another arena whereby God Himself will go to battle for His people who will operate according to the principles, not of Egypt, but of the Kingdom. It is those who move into this area of being givers who will have light surrounding them in these last days. And I am convinced that this will not just be the case for individuals, but for congregations that are walking in this anointing.
Prophetically I write as I sense the Spirit of God flowing through me that there are going to be pockets of congregations across this nation who, in this dark hour are going to be raised up as a shining example of God’s blessing that will cause the world to wonder how they can be so blessed while others are struggling. This will be the key. They are not hoarders. They are conduits for the anointing of God to flow through especially in this area of giving. Do I have proof from God’s word? Duh? Here goes. “[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.”(2 Corinthians 9:6 Amplified Version) Or, how about this, “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself”(Proverbs 11:25 KJV). The word “liberal” in that verse means, “blessing” and the word “fat” means, “become prosperous”. Let me ask, how else are we going to become lights in a dark world? How else are we going to be able to give a reason for the hope that lieth within us? How else is God going to get the attention of this generation before He sends Jesus? I have never been more convinced, by this principle of sowing and reaping. Read what Jesus Himself said, “Give, and you will receive. You will be given much. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over, it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you."(Luke 6:38 New Century Version).
Ok, you and I have a choice to make. We can either walk with Egypt, which is the world system, or we can obey God’s word. You say,” I have tried this giving thing and it did not work”. To be honest it tried you and you gave up. You quit before the blessings could start to flow. I honestly feel the urge to shout it out, “GET SEED INTO THE GROUND”. Daniel prophetically wrote of a last day people when under the anointing of God’s Spirit God boldly proclaimed through him, “…the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32 KJV) Are you ready to be strong, become strengthened, firm and courageous? Are you ready to do? To bring about, act with effect, produce, even celebrate? Giving is the release. Giving will open the windows of heaven. Giving, someone said, is “worship time, a period of ministering to God, an investment into the future, a season of thanksgiving and a storehouse of blessing”. Don’t get angry at me, or upset, but as for me and my house we will walk in this principle and under these blessings. I can’t make you obey God’s word. I can only hold it out before you and simply encourage. You will have to believe. You will have to trust God’s word. You will have to prove God faithful. But, when you do be assured God will not fail, His word is true, Heaven will open, seed will produce, blessings will fall, miracles will come, finances will stretch and the world around you will set up and take notice. What better way to let our light shine. Walk in hope. Walk in God. Walk in light!!!!
