Gather where I have not sown...And collect where I haven't deposited...!
And it's a curious statement that God want to gather where he has not sown, and collect where he has not deposited. Sometime is the far stretches of telling the truth and molding it so it can it be accepted, we have to pray that God helps us say the right things! Even at close to compromising with God's truth we have to stay in the boundry of what is right and truthful. Now why do we pick up this subject? Because of what God tells us. He says in 2Timothy 2:25-26 this:
["...25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will...]
It take something to be meek and gentle in dealing witih the truth. I have to remember the predicament of those I want to instruct and how really 'set in their ways' they really are! It truly says that in the peraventure or hope that God will give or grant them repentance to the knowledge of the truth. Now the truth is not something up for grabs at will and even if you can get all 66 books of the bible for dollar at a dollar store. And God shows us his love here in saying that, "...And that they may recover themselves out ot the snare of the devil, who are taken captive to his will or to do his will...".
Now the gospel is not simple as black and white to those who are taken captive to do the devil's will. Some go into politics, philosophies, dogmans, rituals, superstitions and some in Mega-Churches don't know the real truth. But it is partly our, my fault, because I don't pray to God to grant them deliverance. Just like the church in Acts were praying for Peters deliverance, there won't be any deliverance of those who err until we learn to pray for others. But then the issue is about us and what is our take with God on this.
And the question is whether are we really meek to thing in meekness? Have we take the high horse and rode into the sky? Or do we really understand the situation of those in bondage? Jesus came to set the prisoners free, but God tells that the only key for this kind of lock is the key of meekness. May you be blessed. Amen.
