The true children of God practice the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord thy God with all of your mind, heart, spirit and strength; and love your neighbors as yourself. (See Matthew 22:37-40) They will not allow the enemy into their sanctuary until there is evidence of change. In a normal world, individuals are drawn to the church as a result of a child of God being a witness without having to open his/her mouth. You see, to lift Jesus we must be made in the image of Jesus/God. We cannot change a person just by asking them to come to church. We can be a witness of Jesus just by our life style.
That is where many churches err. They invite the world into their sanctuaries when most of those they invite are not ready for the change or prepared to change. This is why the churches have lost their savour: they have unwittingly bowed to the enemy with because of their willingness to win souls.
Church leaders have been under minded by the enemy to believe they are helping others when they have really opened the doors and allowed his cronies into our most sacred place, the sanctuary. The sanctuary is the believers’ place of praise, worship and fellowship.
The apostles were successful in gathering sheep because they practiced what the preached. They lived by the Word of God. In many churches members of the congregation covet positions they should have vacated 40 years prior. God places you in position not the get stagnated but to do what Elijah did. When his season was over, he passed on the anointing to Elisha.
In Jeremiah 31:33, 34 God spoke a new covenant that cited in the Epistle to the Hebrews.
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Many church members today feel the New Testament is for the people of the world system. However, the New Testament was written to edify the believers so that His Kingdom would be well established. Some mistakenly invite people into their sanctuary that are not ready for transformation. Many people who come to church are drawn. We are witnesses just by our life style. If we as children of God obey and believe and live the instructions given in the Bible, we will draw all men to Jesus; because we are Jesus! Aren’t we the body of Christ? Aren’t we seated with Christ in high places? Haven’t we been given the same gifts as Jesus? We are a supernatural people. We are the high priests: a peculiar people. The Church is our sanctuary. I find many times when I am a witness verbally, God schedules the appointment.
Because of a lack of faith and disobedience, it is hard for the children of God to loose themselves from the world system. If we read, study, apply and speak the Word, the people of the world system would sit up and pay attention; because we would know longer look like them. Too many of us continue to be conformed to the world system. We must not be unevenly yolked with the world if we intend to serve God.
4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
6Who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
8And being found in fashionas a man, hehumbled himself and became obedientunto death, even the death of the cross.
Jesus said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me”. Jesus is lifted up when we live the Word of God and operate according to His will and purpose. If we as children of God do not act accordingly, Jesus will not be lifted up. When people of the world system look at the children of God and don’t see any difference, they don’t have a reason to want to change.
If we are in debt and living as paupers, they probably don’t see any difference. The Word tells us that we should not be in debt. We are not the tail we are the head. The Word says that the blessings of Abraham are upon the children of God. Those who bless us, God will bless; those who curse us God will curse. How can we establish the Kingdom of God if we are broke or in debt? Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all of these things will be added.
We should to prosper in spiritual, physically and financially. Our prosperity should be more than Abraham because he was actually dead in spirit; because the Son of God had not yet come. But he was counted righteous because of his unwavering faith.
Jesus died so we could fellowship with God our Father. Jesus redeemed us. Therefore, lift up Jesus with your walk. You will draw people to you and you can share the gospel with them. Some plant, others water, God gives the increase.
