Isaiah 34

A Review of Isaiah 34
by Keith E Gardner
Always using the King James Bible

Isaiah 34:1-2

Our Lord God is admonishing us all to hear His speech as He is telling all mankind something critically important.

In verse 2 we see the LORD has been forced to bring His wrath upon this world for the multitudes that refuse the word of the LORD: Isaiah 30:9-13.  “He hath utterly destroyed them, He hath delivered them to the slaughter”: Zephaniah 1:2-6.

Isaiah 34:3

On May 21, 2011 the multitude of the dead will be unearthed as a consequence of the great earthquake to occur on the first Day of Judgment.   The LORD says “the slain also shall be cast out”.  There will also be the legions that will die on day one of Judgment Day “and the mountains shall be melted with their blood”.  “Their stink shall come up out of their carcasses”.  These are all the dead who have not completely decayed and have been unearthed.  Soon you can add to that the multitude of those who die on day one and all the Days of Judgment to follow.  During this time many will hope for death and death will shun them until the LORD deems it so: Revelation 9:2-6.

Isaiah 34:4

Verse 4 is speaking of the end of Judgment Day: October 21, 2011.[1]  On this day “all the hosts of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll”.  Reading the rest of this verse it is obviously speaking of the end of time as all time is based on the solar system and the hosts thereof “shall fall down”: Revelation 10:5-7.

Isaiah 34:5

In verse 5 our Lord God is bringing His wrath upon Idumea.  With a little historical research we can know Idumea was the name designating an area in Judea from Beth-zur to south of Beer-sheba.[2]  This portion of Judea was taken by the Edomites after the exile in 586 BC; Ezekiel 36:5.  Understanding that Judea is representative of the lost of this world we know this is the LORD as He continues to tell us about His impending wrath upon the people of this world.

Isaiah 34:6

The first half of this verse is clearly telling of our Lord God as He slaughters all those who insist on pursuing their own ambitions and satisfying the desires of their own evil hearts: Psalm 78:27-31.  As we are all here to do the will of our Lord God and all who seek to satiate their own lusts are not of God.

In the second half of this verse the LORD is speaking of Bozrah and Idumea.  Here Bozrah are to represent the lost of the world as Bozrah was part of Edom and the Edomites were not the chosen people of God.  However Idumea was part of Judea which, in theory, was the land inhabited by the people of God; looking at this today Idumea is the church.  Bozrah is representative of the lost outside the church while Idumea, or Judea, represent the lost inside the church; both are the objects of the wrath of Almighty God with the greater damnation due unto those inside the church: Isaiah 30:1-13.

Isaiah 34:7

In verse 7 the LORD continues telling us of all those who remain on earth after He has removed His elect and throws the dead from their graves; this is the beginning of Judgment Day.  The unicorns, bullocks and bulls represent all those who are lost in this world.  The land will be soaked with their blood.  Their dust – the dust of all their dead – will be soaked with their blood: Isaiah 26:20-21.

Isaiah 34:8

In verse 8 we see it is the time of the end.  The LORD says it is “the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion” and as we now know Zion, in this instance, represents the church.  Reading this chapter and many others in the Bible we know the recompenses for the controversy of Zion.  However, what is the controversy of Zion? Simply put the controversies of Zion are the multitude of lies fed to all the congregation members of every denomination; i.e. you must be baptized, you must speak in tongues, you must observe the day of the LORD on the 7th day and there are as many others as there are denominations.  All of these are man’s path to salvation.  Unfortunately this is only man’s path and because a man can save no one it is a path to destruction: Proverbs 3:5-7, Jeremiah 3:23.

Isaiah 34:9

In verse 9 the LORD is describing the nearly incomprehensible state of this world.  “The streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.”  The only thing more incomprehensibly horrible than imagining such a scene is being there.  Being kept alive in this, as all those ordained to it will be, until the LORD says your debt has been paid: Revelation 9:6.

Isaiah 34:10

Once the end begins on May 21, 2011 the destruction, desolation and continual death will worsen with each passing hour.  The children born during this tumultuous time are born only to die as “none shall pass through it for ever and ever” then on October 21, 2011 it is ended “for ever and ever”: Revelation 20:14-15.

Isaiah 34:11

In verse 11 the LORD is telling of those who are not elect of Him; “the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it”.  They will all dwell in this hellish pit which is all that will remain of this world.  The LORD further complicates their existence by removing their intelligence leaving them too confused and utterly disoriented to do anything beyond wait and hope for death.  This is the plight of all those who believe as they desire; setting up gods of their own design: Isaiah 45:16.

Isaiah 34:12-13

There will be none who can help.  Where there are now notable places there will be rubble.  Those people who remain will attempt to make a habitation amongst whatever is left.  They shall be as Nebuchadnezzar was spoken of in Daniel 4:31-33.   However, as our Lord God took all intelligence form Nebuchadnezzar He will take the knowledge from all men leaving them with just enough understanding to know what is happening to them.  They will know they are naked and be shamed.  They will know they are eating and drinking filth and possibly even waste but they will not be able to do anything else: Zechariah 11:1-11.  Zechariah 11:1-11 says many things which require explanation however, verse 9 is the verse I desire you acknowledge at this time and it is self-explanatory.  All of the aforementioned verses are speaking of Judgment Day and I only wish time permitted me to go into it all.

Isaiah 34:14

As all mankind in their limited ability will realize their plight they will come together as the environment permits.

Isaiah 34:15-16

In verse 15 we see there will be those women who will enter Judgment Day pregnant and will deliver their children to die.

In verse 16 the LORD admonishes us to read His word that we may know His truth.  He says “no one of these shall fail” meaning there is nothing He has told us that will not come to pass just as He has said it would.  The LORD tells us that “none shall want her mate”.  He continues “for My mouth hath commanded, and His spirit it hath gathered them”.  The use of My and His is our Lord God speaking in His duality as He speaks of Himself and His Father.

Isaiah 34:17

The LORD has determined the level of punishment to be metered out unto the lost and He has determined who will receive what by lot.  As it is all punishment none, at that level, is better or worse than any other.  Therefore our Lord God determines who gets what by lot or by line; lot and line are identical as both represent the word or decision of the LORD: Psalms 19:4, 78:55 and Isaiah 28:13.  “They shall possess it forever” is to say it shall be with them until their deaths or October 21, 2011; which ever occurs first for a particular person.  “From generation to generation shall they dwell therein” is the LORD telling us that women will enter Judgment Day pregnant and many who do will deliver giving us a new generation.  This new generation will “dwell therein” until their deaths or the end of time.
