A Review of Isaiah 27 by Keith E Gardner Always using the King James Bible
God will destroy Satan and all that is materially known to man.Satan’s destruction is spoken of once again in Revelation 17:8 as he is described as “…the beast that was, and is not, and yet is”.This is to say that Satan was throughout the existence of the world. However, he will be no more when the world is no more yet he is and will be until the world has come to its end.
Our Lord God speaks of this world and His love and good will toward it.This is reiterated in Isaiah 5:2.However as stated in Isaiah 5:2 our Lord Gods’ most sincere efforts to bring man into a right relationship with Him failed.Although our LORD is God He has established laws by which even His hand is restricted.Consequently He – seeing the world before its beginning – had to pay for the sins of all those He would save or else all mankind would be lost: Romans 3:10-12.
Our Lord God will destroy those briers and thorns or the wood, hay and stubble that Satan will lead against our Lord God.These are those our Lord God is addressing in John 8:44; the vast majority of the world.
No man can take hold of the LORD or make peace with Him excepting he is elect of Him.Therefore only the elect of God will make peace with Him and we shall be servants of our Most High God never to be misled or turned away from our LORD the KING: Mark 13:22.
So those of us who are elect of our God will take hold of our Lord God.We will take root and grow in grace as we spread the word of our Father and His coming throughout the world. The word of God is the fruit that all His elect are to fill the face of the world with; that in the end there will be few who can justly say they did not know: Revelation 14:6-7.The angle in Revelation 14:6-7is representative of Gods elect as we are to spread the gospel of the Christ.
Have the elect smitten the non-elect as the non-elect smote the elect? Or are the non-elect slain according to the slaughter of the non-elect who are slain by the non-elect? The non-elect smiting the elect are seen, in this context, as the elect being forced out of the churches.Regardless, the elect will bring the word of God to the non-elect and as they refuse it they will be marked for judgment. Then they add fuel to their fire by following the strange teachings of their pastors which are not the true word of God: Isaiah 17:10.They also subject their children, the pleasant plants, to these strange teachings or strange slips. All of this doubles their damnation and multiplies damnation upon their pastors: Ezekiel 34:7-10 & 16.
The lost will not want to accept the punishment that the LORD will heap upon them in their end. Therefore they will debate with God concerning it; to no end.
The east wind represents the tribulation period – May 21, 1988 to May 21, 2011 – while the rough wind, an expression fittingly used only once in the Bible, represents Judgment Day: May 21, 2011 to October 21, 2011.
The iniquity of Jacob – the propensity of our bodies toward sin – will be purged, completely removed, when we get our spiritual bodies on May 21, 2011.Although the Christ has paid the sin debt for all who are elect of Him we will not be complete until May 21, 2011.This, therefore, is the fruit to take away all sin: Judgment Day.In the last portion of this verse our Lord God is telling us of the purpose of Judgment Day.
Here our Lord God speaks of the church which He has left desolate. The place where He once was He has now forsaken and left as a wilderness just as He will forsake the entire world: Ezekiel 36:4-7.As our Lord God sends His elect into the world with His gospel they are the calves who consume those of the churches and the world with the word of God.For as they here and do not take heed they come into even greater damnation.
The withered boughs are those of the corrupt tree; the lost of this world. The elect of God witness to them and as they hear and refuse the true gospel they are being gathered for the burning: Matthew 7:17-19.Our Lord God will have no mercy on them after May 20, 2011, as this is the last day for them to humble themselves before God and cry unto Him for His mercy.
This verse is reiterating that God alone does the saving. No pastor, preacher, bishop, pope etc. can save even themselves.God will gather all those He chose before the foundation of the world one by one: Ephesians 1:4-5.
The elect of God are those who forsake all for His truth. They are ready to perish and they are the outcasts of this world but, they will worship God in heaven.
