Seasons Reflect Life

Something about November & December each year that makes me reflect on what has happened. I find myself always being thankful for my loved ones and giving thanks to GOD for getting me through another year.

It's reflective of the seasons, October & November, as the leaves fall from the trees it's like shedding all the events that life gave us even the one we didn't want. The memories will stay with us forever. Those events that took place only set the stage for the coming year and how we handled the past ones makes us stronger if we allow to be embrace whatever life had given us. If we choose not to move forward than what comes from that will be detrimental to our being. If we choose to take that first step, then and only then can we allow GOD to take us where He needs us to be.

In the months of December, January & February when the trees are bare, is a time to be still and allow the healing to take place. Life has a way of beating us up and leaving our spirit battered and bruised. It is when we are still and waiting on the LORD to heal us from the spirit to the physical can we believe that things will get better.

Isaiah 40:31 (New International Version)

 31but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

March brings rain, a refreshing and cleansing that is well needed. To feel new again and believe a new beginning is on the horizon. It is when I let GOD do what He needs to do in my life during these seasons that I am ready to move forward with hope and  a future knowing that HE goes before me.

 Jeremiah 29

  11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

As the rest of my year continues and life happens I do my best never to let these events steal my joy and my peace for as long as joy and peace are in my heart then I will be able to strive to contiue on my journey.

Mood: thankful
