Who Gives Kudos:

   [24 Jun 2010 | Thursday]

You know there are a lot of things that I like to talk about and one thing that I have come to believe to be very important is seeing yourself, the real you, not the you that you would love to believe you are, but the real you. I have found that most of the time, the only way that you can do that is though other people. If we really would stop and see how blessed we are to have people in ourlives, and things that happen to us that help us to see who we really are, maybe then we would have a good attitude when times get hard. It is though the difficult times that we have an oppurtunity to learn how to be the person that God has called us to be. If we had an attitude of; Lord I'm going though hell right now, but I know that I will be a better person, though this I will learn how to have the peace that passes all understanding. With that peace nothing or no one can take my joy from me, I will keep an attitude of thankfulness in whatever comes because I know it is well.

When we read the story of Paul's life from the bible, we can see that he had a lot to overcome to get to that place of being thankful for all he had been though. Though our ADVERSITY, TRIBULATION and TRIALS, we can do the same.

I live on the Gulf Coast, I have been living here for over thirty years, some of the people that have been here all their lives, and are older than I am, haven't got use to hurricanes, tornados, things that happen in this part of the world. Now on top of everything we have the oil spill. The first thing that comes up is FEAR, and all the things that comes with fear. But my attitude is; ok, now that this has happened what can I learn from this experience, what can we all see about ourselves. With an attitude of; this is one more thing that God let happen, why, because we are not in my opinion, understanding what we need to understand, then we can have an attitude of "THANKFULNESS." With that attitude we can always have PEACE, as Paul says "I HAVE THE PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING."

And the moral to this story is: with a good attitude we can keep PEACE...don't we feel better then???
