Ever feel like you've got nothing left to give? You've overspent your time, energy, emotions. Spent the day running from one appointment to another, and now you feel yourself coasting on empty.
How do you recharge? What inspires you, what brings back that glint in your eye, that passion to get up tomorrow and do it all over again?
Many of us run through the days, weeks and even months on empty. We have got so tied up in the routine of life surviving to maintain our 21st century lives, that we have forgotten what it's like to be excited about something.
I remember talking to a friend a few years ago, and asking her what her dreams were for the future, what she would do if money or time etc were no obstacle. (One of my most favourite questions). She was quite shocked by this question; she had never considered that thought and had never really dreamt about anything before. She was just busy getting through her everyday 'now' life that the future wasn't even a consideration. It shocked me because I have always been a fairly driven person, always a dreamer, and could think of maybe four things off the top of my head I would love to do if money or time were no object! I just thought everyone lived the same way.
I've never forgotten that conversation, in fact I'm reminded of it daily when I open my eyes and think about my future. Why is it so important to have a dream for the future?
The Bible says, - "Where [there is] no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy [is] he." Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
Some people in this world don't and won't have the opportunity to dream or even see their dreams come true. They are too busy trying to survive today. Millions of innocent children won't even get the chance to use their unique God-given gifts and bless the world with them.
My question to myself and to you is:- What are you going to do with your gifts, your dreams? You have an unbelievable opportunity to see your dreams and visions happen in your lifetime!
