We often hear the account of how the Queen of Sheba came from the far reached of the world to hear the wisdom of Solomon! We turn to 1Kings 10;1-5,
["...1And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
2And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
3And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.
4And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

Now the gospel help you gain respect but not from your own family. Jesus said that a prophet is never without honor except in his own town and family. And certainly Jesus was not an exception! Now why would God do that? Cause us to be disdained by our own?! In my town I live at such and such place and am son of who and who and has for brothers and sisters, them and them, but I don't have a plaque in downtown mytown! But then who needs it anyways?! And God has something to say about what should be our boasting and what should not! Turn to Jeremiah,
["...Jeremiah 9:23 (Whole Chapter)
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
Jeremiah 9:24 (Whole Chapter)
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 13:11 (Whole Chapter)
For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear...]
And we took to glory everything but the Lord himself. Yep! We love the blessings and the hoop-la to be called by God's name and presume that we walk with God, but we forgot one thing: To hear his voice!...Thus says Jesus why I do I call him Lord, Lord if I don't do what he says...!?
