I'm here for the first time to explain myself but i cannot.
It's been many years since i last been in a place like this. I'm an non-believer and i want to be back on track as a true christian. Only problem is: I'm ashamed and afraid of GOD due to my sins and all.
I've been kicked out of my mom's and now i am moving to austin but i'm afraid that i'll end up in hell... man, i have had a fucked up life and i want salvation someday. Help if u can.
Welcome! I'm glad you are here. I couldn't resist taking a peek at your post because your picture reminds me of one of my college buddies and the title was catchy too.
I can't explain myself either, so no worries on that account and certainly everyone has something to be ashamed of if they're honest. That's what I like about your post: you're honest. And that's a great place to start. As for going to hell, I believe in your salvation as much as I believe in my own. You have my prayers and He loves you. So, please take heart and let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. <hugs>
Welcome, Chris, to T2O. I have a nephew in his late 20's who is also bi-polar and struggles with why God allows the problems in his life (arrested for credit card theft, drug use, etc.). What I can offer is that God wants you to give Him your sin: there is no need to fear Him when you are repentant. As to the shame, well, He does not require you to carry that either -give it over to Him and don't let it keep you from Him. He is LOVE, not vengenance and punishment. He will care for you. Be at peace, brother. Peggy
First, I want to encourage you. Each person on this blog site has a story similar to yours. Though the situations might have been different, they were all lost and living in sin. Some of the greatest people in the Bible made BIG mistakes. Peter denied Jesus three times. The apostle Paul; before he came to Christ had Christians killed, and he persecuted the church. These men had two things in common. They had sinned, and they both were forgiven. 1st John 1:8 says, If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Now listen to what the next verse says 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to clense us from all unrighteousness. When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are a new man. 1st Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;behold, all things have become new. The first step is always the hardest, and You have already taken it. You have confessed your sins, however you need to not just confess, but repent of your sins. This includes turning from your sin, and turning towards God. Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. My question to you is this. Will you make the descision to follow Jesus? Today is the day of salvation. Don't wait. Do it now, and once you have made the decision, seek out a Bible believing/reading church, and make a public profession of faith.
