Very interesting words from Amos, Job and Paul of the death and destruction that is coming upon a nation and world of blindness.
Very interesting words from Amos, Job and Paul
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord. For, lo, Iwill command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, the evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. Amos 8:11, 9:8-10
Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn? For wrath killeth a foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation. His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance. Although affliction cometh forth not of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; Yet man is born into trouble, as the sparks fly upward. I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number: Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields: To set up on high those that be low; those which mourn may be exalted to safety. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night. [false teachers] But He saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. So the poor hath hope, and iniquity [injustice] shuts her mouth. Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For He maketh sore, and bindeth up: He woundeth, and His hands make whole. He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine He shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. Lo this, we have we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it is for thy good. Job Chapter 5
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God has revealed them to prepared men. But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged by no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. But I , brethren, could not speak unto you as spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, [today’s false teachers] and not with meat; [because they have no meat themselves] for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are you able. 1 Corinthians 2:9-16, 3:1-2
God sees everything, and therefore knows our hearts better than we know our own self. And we have showed Him well our minds through the love that we show others. I am thankful to our Lord more each day for years now, because the less that I have, the stronger my spirit becomes, and that’s His own doing because He is very pleased with humility and sacrifice from those who understand this life as a preparation for the needed spiritual strength that brings the faith required to survive the tribulation and His kingdom for eternity as reward. I am doing just as Ezekiel in delivering a message to a house of scorpions. Read chapter two of Ezekiel for some clear understanding.
