The word is never 'old-school'...!

I don't know about you but the word is always teaching me something. And the word of God is never out of date for eternity. This epoch will pass and will talk to epochs to come. I couldn't figure whether to buy some vitamins for new youth 50+ and I have some but I wanted to feel blessed by buying something that I thought God would have me in my things. I did not buy them there were too many economic catches to the purchase, membership, conditional discount and well let's talk about some other thing. Let turn to Luke 15:8-10,

["...8 Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?

9 And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.

10 Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth...]

What bridge is there between money and love? All the evil things have come out of money. Paul says that money is the root of all evil. Why? Let stop. Put the remote control down. Turn down the ipod. Put the pan down. Is the life all about money? We prepare for financial career all of our life. We save to go to our vacation. We have a budget to buy the groceries and pay the bills. We ask God to continue with this blog. We turn to Luke 16:1-15,

["...1 And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he was wasting his goods.

2 And he called him, and said unto him, What is this that I hear of thee? render the account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.

3 And the steward said within himself, What shall I do, seeing that my lord taketh away the stewardship from me? I have not strength to dig; to beg I am ashamed.

4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

5 And calling to him each one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?

6 And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly and write fifty.

7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. He saith unto him, Take thy bond, and write fourscore.

8 And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles.

10 He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much...]

Don't look at me I like to save money, bargains, save cash, hello?! But are we really shewd? God to those who tithe says, "Test me if I don't open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that you will not have words enough to thank God!.." That just for some tithe. But are we really shrewd? God says, "Seek the kingdom of heaven and all things you need will be added to you..." I took my mother, she always in the news, and she liked to buy a belated birthday present, a $70 dollar Calvin klein dress shirt. And I said to her. I you sure you want to do this? And she said "Oh, yes..!"

I had a cook-out this Labor Day, I did the cooking, we ate prime pork-chops stakes if found at $.88 a pound. I suppose this is boring stuff. I went to the Mall and I wore my Longhorns shirt and they gave me a free giant chicken sandwich at Chic-Fil-A. It;s all food. Yes. I know. Life is more than food and what you put on. Quoting Jesus. So what kind of deal do you want from God? I drive my 2009 Ford Escape. Wonderful air conditioning. How do you finish a blog like this? What is your price to believe God?...

God in his wonderful lonely moment paid the ultimate price for our sins, with blood and not money. His soul sold for 30 pieces of silver. It just not happy when we don't see really how much God has done for us and give us our breath every minute that passes by. Let me ask you, what is this blog about to you? A hanged call, a wrong number that has been disconnected and no longer in use, may God is calling a 'dead' zone? But if we think we are clever to save money, are we really shrewd in doing so?...

The mundane matters of this life, they choke the word and cloud the vision...May you have a good night and morning...Amen.
