Is It Better to Have More Filtering Levels in The Water Filter Cartridges
"The more filter layers in the Water Filter Cartridges(KOKOELECTRIC) of the water purifier, the better the filtering effect." This misconception has become a stubborn "truth" in the hearts of many consumers, so they prefer to buy water purifier products with multiple built-in water filter cartridges.
Major brands of water purifiers, of course, have to cater to this consumption trend, so water purifiers manufacturers have also taken advantage of the opportunity to expand the grade of water filter cartridges of water purifiers to grade 7, 10 or even 12. If this trend continues to spread, it is believed that there may be 16 or even 20 grades of water purifiers in the near future.
As we all know, the core function of the water purifier is mainly realized by the water filter cartridges of the water purifier. Although there are dozens of accessories for the water purifier, it is the water filter cartridges of the water purifier that really plays the role of purifying water. However, this does not mean that the greater the number of water filter cartridges in the water purifier, the better the water purification effect will be.
The key judgment standard is not a few grades, but the raw materials and filtering dimensional accuracy of the water filter cartridges of the water purifier. The quality of a product is essentially determined by its raw materials and production process. However, under normal circumstances, the value of the product is often kidnapped by the brand value.
In the market, many inferior water purifier products do not meet the standard techniques, and a layer of carbon powder in the filter layer will be discharged along with the water flow and mixed into drinking water to cause secondary pollution. In order to prevent this kind of secondary pollution, a layer of filtered carbon powder should be added. In this way, although the filter layers seem to become many, considering from the side, the extra layers have no substantial effect on water purification.
Whether the water filter cartridges of a water purifier meets or even exceeds the standard depends on the diameter of the water filter cartridges. At present, the diameter of the water filter cartridges that can be seen on the market can reach as small as 0.01 micron. With such dimensional accuracy, tap water only needs to be filtered once.
In other words, if a water purifier has ten water filter cartridges with a diameter far greater than 0.01 micron, it is not as thorough as a water filter cartridges with a standard of 0.01 micron.
