Fortnite players at the Sniper Shootout Limited Time Mode were coming under an unexpected barrage of fire when players unloaded on them with Double Pistols, but Epic Games has since fixed the problem that caused the problematic weapon to spawn.
Sniper Shootout, as its name implies, is all about sniping, but gamers were still able to come across Dual Pistols in the LTM for a brief while. Epic Games recently unvaulted the Double Pistols which means fortnite weapons brought back them into Fortnite after being gone for a while, but it seems as though that the unvaulting accidently added the weapon in more game modes than intended.
Fortnite players shared clips such as those below showing signs of others using the Double Pistols from the Sniper Shootout mode, something which would've come as a surprise if just heavy shots using a slow rate of fire were expected.
Responding to the issue that caused those non-sniper weapons to be included from the Sniper Shootout mode, Epic Games said it's now taken action to eliminate the Double Pistols in the LTM. "We wanted to confirm that we've resolved the issue that has been causing Dual Pistols to appear as best way to buy fortnite materials potential loot in the Sniper Shootout Limited Time Mode," Epic Games said on Reddit.
The Sniper Shootout mode will not be around for a lot longer though before it is cycled out for another LTM, but those who are still playing the game style can now do so without needing to worry about getting eliminated by way of a Dual Pistols user. Sniper Shootout's return happened at the same period as Disco Domination's revival, a game mode that has made several appearances because it was first unveiled.
