Turn To Reduce Unnecessary Excessive Public Lighting

In the years following the oil crisis of the early 1970s, commercial building owners and managers responded to high electricity prices by remodeling offices, warehouses and stores, and more energy-efficient fixtures. First, they turned to reducing unnecessary excessive public lighting(CLASSIC), and later installed new low-wattage fluorescent tubes and electronic ballasts. As a result, even with the increase in the number of commercial buildings, the energy consumption of public lighting in the commercial sector is still declining.

Now, the success of the business sector may be another prelude to the great success of energy efficiency, this time in the residential sector. The compact fluorescent bulb is the key to unlocking this success. Like fluorescent lamps in commercial buildings, compact fluorescent bulbs are also a type of tube. However, these tubes are narrower and twist like a pretzel. Sometimes they are covered by the earth, so they look a lot like standard incandescent bulbs. This helps homeowners reduce energy costs and provide good lighting throughout the area, however, turning to LED lights is now changing the situation again.
