Question to Malady's conversation right


Witch Malady's dialog is long and tedious. Items can only be bought one by one, and may only be cooked . Cooking one thing means moving through 6 or 5 dialogue boxes (and choosing an alternative in each, so you can't even Buy MS2 Mesos spam the NPC Chat crucial). And you have to cook up a dozen intermediate items before you can make a single Stew, which is pretty much the only one of Malady's concoctions that is still helpful.

The process is long and it is painful and it gives an advantage to people that are willing to violate the rules and macro the procedure in their keyboards or controllers.

I feel that collecting the essential materials is dull enough, so the crafting process can be streamlined without making the whole occasion a "freebie."

The simplest fix is to include a "how many do you want to buy/make?" Question to Malady's conversation right before she takes your items and provides you your reward and exp. She will need to check that you have enough stuff, and that you have sufficient space in your inventory for the rewards, until she performs the trade.

The cooler fix is to alter Malady to utilize the crafting system, similar to Beefy's Kitchen. Give her a Sack (store NPC for buying things with Dark Tokens) and a Cauldron (crafting NPC for cooking things based on her recipes), and also the built-in functionality of these types of NPCs will take care of the amount issue. The only tricky bit is that a few of her items can be crafted two distinct manners. I am not sure if the crafting system can manage two recipes which yield the same item. Additionally, using this system won't offer exp (but may give Diligence exp).Reboot Update Preview
