Start with small amounts of time talking with Jesus. As you get to know Him, you will want to be with Him more and more.
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." - Matthew 6:21
As His glory fills us, we act as conduits of the substance of Heaven -- influencing other believers and setting an example for the world.
"....before you were born I consecrated you" - Jeremiah 1:5
Why did God create you? What is your purpose here on earth? God knew your calling before the foundations of the earth. It is not His intention to keep that calling a secret from you and watch you flounder through life -- He is willing to answer if you will draw apart and hear what He is saying.
Nothing that I seek is as satisfying to my soul, no other answer as beneficial, as seeing Christ with the eyes and understanding of my inner man.
I remember that when Jesus arose, I arose. When He came out of hell and defeated the enemy, I came out of hell and defeated the enemy. His victory is my victory because I am in Him.
I refuse to relinquish any of my God-promised territory! My faith is tough, resistant, persistent, obstinate, and stubborn.
"One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple." - Psalm 27:4
Some today have a false identity and as a result, they can't find their way. It is also true that some within the Church have found their identity (or they have tried to find their identity) in pastors, programs, function, and ministry. The co-dependency between ministers and sheep has created identification dysfunction. You're so busy with "things" you haven't found the "One Thing" (see Psalm 27:4).
Your distinction can only be found in Christ. Realignment of your identity is essential in order for you to fulfill His DESTINY in your life. Be ready, forsake your former identity and go after Him and you will be found in Him (see Philippians 3:9). As you go after Him you will take on His character. In Him I live and move, and have my being (see Acts 17:28).
Think differently! (Repent is from the Greek word, "metanoia" which means to think differently.) When John the Baptist and Jesus said, "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand," they were saying, "Think differently because the Kingdom of Heaven is here."
Watch as paradigm shifts begin to take place. THINK DIFFERENTLY! Heaven will open up over you and you will begin to bear fruit and move from glory to glory.
Every time something thwarts your plans or desires, use that as a reminder to communicate with Him. This practice has several benefits. The first is obvious: Talking with Him blesses you and strengthens your relationship. Another benefit is that disappointments, instead of dragging you down, are transformed into opportunities for good. This transformation removes the sting from difficult circumstances, making it possible to be joyful in the midst of adversity.
Begin by practicing this discipline in all the little disappointments of daily life. It is often these minor setbacks that draw you away from His Presence. When you reframe setbacks as opportunities, you find that you gain much more than you have lost. It is only after much training that you can accept major losses in this positive way. But it is possible to attain the perspective of the apostle Paul, who wrote: Compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, I consider everything I once treasured to be as insignificant as rubbish.
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." - Colossians 4:2
"But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ." - Philippians 3:7–8
