He loved us enough to leave His Father in Heaven, and He expects no less from us - asking us to abandon all other loves for Him. As His followers, we are to treat everything else as lesser in comparison to Him, the greater.
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters - yes, even his own life - he cannot be my disciple." - Luke 14:26
It's time to break out. It's time to step on up and come out of the "house" into the streets. It's time to take authority over your circumstances. No more self-abasement, nor more thinking, "I can't do this." You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Elijah's mission was to awaken the Israelites to their apostasy, backsliding, lukewarmness, and to call them back to loyalty to God. Are you a Reformer? Believe God for the impossible and you too like Elijah will transform lives.
"And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the Kingdom of Heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force (as a precious prize -- a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion)." AMP - Matthew 11:12
I do not stop until I experience the presence of God. I stretch my faith in the direction of the destiny God has for me.
Approach problems with a light touch. When your mind moves toward a problem area, you tend to focus on that situation so intensely that you lose sight of who you are in Christ. You pit yourself against the difficulty as if you had to conquer it immediately. Your mind gears up for battle, and your body becomes tense and anxious. Unless you achieve total victory, you feel defeated.
There is a better way. When a problem starts to overshadow your thoughts, bring this matter to Him. Talk with Him about it and look at it in the Light of His Presence. This puts some much-needed space between you and your concern, enabling you to see from His perspective. You will be surprised at the results. Sometimes you may even laugh at yourself for being so serious about something so insignificant.
You will always have Him with you, helping you to handle whatever adversity you encounter. Approach problems with a light touch by viewing them in His revealing Light.
"Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord." - Psalm 89:15
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33
