Have you ever thought of today's Christian life ? Does it look boring to you ? Is the Christian life all about Jesus , the Bible, do's and don'ts ?no fun or pleasure ? don't feel guilty because it really look that way,but let's look at the facts.
For us humans the earth is the only place were been and lived. So we think this is the normal life. We see but wait a minute I will let you see with your eyes. Is it all happy days ? The truth is revealed by our fear and mistrust, we lock our house, protect our belongings etc. The reason is we live in a world affected by sin. Everybody is affected even Christians. Let me get to the point. The present earth is not our eternal home we are just passing through.
Let's check the Bible. In Revelation 21:3 (in the future)"Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people and He will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Can you imagine a life like that ? that will be forever if you have committed your life to Jesus Christ but if not do not expect that.
Let's look again on our Christian life. These are not all folks even our Lord Jesus did not seem to enjoy most of His earthly life but He accomplished what needs to be done. He took care of the problem of sin, our sins are all paid off through His sacrifice.
Today, Christians are to continue what God is doing, to save sinners while on earth.
Let's end with this, maybe you are not sure you will be with God in the future. Now is the time to settle that. Realize or admit that you took things for granted and pursued only earthly ways and pleasure. A simple prayer is like the prayer of one of the thieves on the cross. Lord remember when You come into Your kingdom.
If you prayed a prayer like that you are now born in the family of God You are now reborn or got born again or a baby Christian. And like a baby you will need to be fed and to grow. Ask God to show you your next step or ask a growing Christian.
