"Jehovah Rapha"

A few years ago I came across this spiritually enlightening poem by Sharon A. Knotts, to be included in my collection of Healing Scriptures and I would like to share it with you...

God Bless - Love Peggy

JEHOVAH  RAPHA

I am the LORD that healeth thee “JEHOVAH RAPHA” is

 my name

with healing virtue to set you free from infirmity

disease and pain

There is a place where you can go when your body with

 pain is wracked

Where the healing waters flow from the stripes upon my

 back

At Pilate’s whipping post I bled

 Before the cross of Calvary

Before the thorns upon my head

I bore the healing stripes for thee

Before they pierced my hands and feet, or with cruel

 sword my riven side

That from these wounds from sin your freed

I bore the stripes of thirty-nine

For all the sickness of the world I gave my back to bear

the blows each time the angry whip was hurled

 A healing fountain was bestowed

Behold God’s Lamb upon the tree who took away my sin

and shame and bore all mine iniquity

But not before He took my pain

Nor shed his blood for sin alone

But for my sickness, grief and pain

For these His bloody stripes atoned

“Jehovah Rapha” is His name
