Here am I 63 years old and retired and still have trouble scheduling my day.Let me make another effort.
Our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things (needs) shall be added unto you.
Jesus continued: Take therefore no thought for tomorrow: for tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Psalm 118:24 says This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
What can we get from the preceding verses ? That we have a role in and how we spend our days, we can waste a day or spend it wisely.
We can start with our problems or we can seek the Lord first and ask His help. We have a choice. Does that mean not to plan for tomorrow ? By seeking the Lord first we start the day right and as we spend the day right we actually prepare for tomorrow without even thinking. But if we waste our day then this could add to our problem.
Here what I am going to try, spend the day's hours for the Lord, first praying, praising, then the rest for working, playing,sleeping...How about you ?
