Believers Call

First of all Every Believer is commanded to share the Gospel, lay hands on the sick and see them recover, cast our demons (handle serpents), raise the dead, and make disciples of the nations (making His enemies His footstool)!

The tools for doing this are the Fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance; and the Gifts of the Spirit: Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Faith, Healings, Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Divers Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues. These are the same tools for Church growth and maturity.

Whether we are at home, work, running errands, driving, relaxing, being entertained, we are always to be walking in and manifesting the Gifts and Fruit of Holy Spirit. When we are in Church, Bible study, home group, fellowship, training, ministering we are always to be walking in the Gifts and Fruit of Holy Spirit.

How do we do this? In Holy Spirit we are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, workers of miracles, workers of healing, workers of helps, workers of administration, workers of varieties of tongues.

“Wait!” You say, “Aren’t these special anointed people, leaders?” Yes and no, some are called to be leaders and are gifted by Holy Spirit to fill that office. But they did not start in maturity and fullness, they grew into it as Holy Spirit taught and led them.

All Believers are called to operate in one or more of these functions of ministry. No matter who you are, where you are, or how long you’ve been a believer GOD has called you by His Spirit to operate in one or more of these functions everyday!

Worker of Miracles – do you pray of people’s needs and see GOD move on their behalf?

Workers of Healings – do you pray for people and see them healed?

Workers of Helps – do you work with children ministries, are you on the worship team, are you a greeter or pass out bulletins, do you set up or take down chairs, tables, equipment?

Workers of Administrations – do you work in the office, do you make calls (home or phone), are you a deacon?

Workers of Various Tongues – do you sign for the deaf, do you interpret for those who do not speak the language of the speaker or teacher, do you interpret written materials in another language?

Teacher – do you share what you know about GOD and His Word with other believers?

Pastor – do you pray for and help other believers and non-believers?

Evangelist – do you share the Gospel with unbelievers?

Prophets – do you share GOD’s plan and purpose with believers and non-believers, do you point out GOD’s desire to others for their lives?

Apostles – do you do all of the above?

Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 16:14-18, Luke 24:45-49, John 20:19-23, Acts 1:4-8, Hebrews 10:11-14; Galatians 5:22-26, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4:1-16, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31
