I believe the answer to that is Yes. Should we publicize our own prayers and alms ? Definitely not.
Encouraging prayers and alms are needed in the world which seems to be getting out of control.
The Bible says to pray unceasingly. We used to have a national day of prayer, I do not know what happened to it.
Jesus encourage prayers. He said His Father's house is a house of prayers.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says If My people who are called by My Name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked , then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I think larger Churches can sometimes take on a form of publicizing in secular format. To “teach men” to function so shouldn’t be too hard to do without sounding the trumpet.
“They only asked us to remember the poor—the very thing I also was eager to do.” (Gal 2:9,10)
“We used to have a national day of prayer, I do not know what happened to it.”
Many of our Christian traditions are being arm wrestled to assimilate to avoid our rich founding principles. Meanwhile all they think they have to do is keep our so-called “hateful” worldview in check.
V14 offers healing, I’m sure His hand has helped us along in spite of all the adversities facing this nation.
