There is Treasure to be found in God's Word and in every hurdle of of our Lives!

While I was a survivor, God was using me through the many Gifts of the Spirit. I could hear Him speaking to me within, I saw dreams he gave me and understood them and knew they were from God. That excited me as I began to realize that God was turning around my hypersensitivity from the fear I had lived in to being able to hear God's word spoken to me within. The knowledge of knowing it was God's voice that spoke to me came from reading His word and knowing the personality and voice of God. I realized how important it was that we know God's personality. When we read His word it becomes assimilated into our minds and hearts. Just like in how our families parent us. We know the household rules and don't have to always look then up on a list. Like in mine there was only confusion and that confusion misguided me in life until I began to read/study God's word in the Bible. Because so much of it has been assimilated into my spirit I do many things natural, but still need to continue to read and refresh and always learn something new. The following is an excerpt from: Plainbibleteaching.com written by: Andy Sochor Meditate Upon His Word Reading the Bible is obviously a good exercise (reading everyday, reading the Bible through in a year, etc.). But reading without comprehending, retaining, and applying what we read is useless. We become the one who is criticized as a “forgetful hearer” (James 1:25). In that context, James mentions doing, which we will consider later in this article. But retaining knowledge is essential before we can practice these things. God expects us to be thoughtful people (cf. Philippians 4:8). What we think about is important. Therefore, we should meditate upon God’s word. The psalmist writes of the blessed man: “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:2). David also writes, “O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day” (Psalm 119:97). Meditating upon God’s word will help us to retain, memorize, and recall it later. Some of the foretelling dreams God has given me, pertained to other people. Symbolic foreknowledge of things to come to pass regarding me or others. Sometimes I don't know what to do with this information, so I ask God. Sometimes,He tells me to wait, when the time comes He will let me know what to do, but for me to watch for this to happen. Sometimes He uses my emotions to jar me into hearing him. there have been very few times that He has asked me to tell a person something. But when He wants me to, I try in my weakness, doubt and fear of wondering if this is really God speaking to me, I do (it has to correlate with His word). I believe God shows me what is about to happen, so I can be compassionate to the person or family in need of His compassion. I become His compassionate arms and hands and words to the people here that are in need of it. Christians or nor-Christians. But hearing God ask me to do something, or showing me something about to happen and then telling me what He wants me to do is a faith builder for me as well, especially when God allows me to see the outcome. So we are both blessed. Me, His servant and the people HE asks me to serve for Him. The foreseeing knowledge, God has given me has also saved the lives of me, my husband and children many times. HIs wisdom has helped me to explain situations to people in God's words to comfort and admonish them. I feel His presence when the words come out of my mouth. I feel the Holy Spirit speaking from me. And when the Holy Spirit has concluded His message. This is only some of what came from my childhood and the hypersensitivity that came from it. I praise God for these gifts (treasures) and how He turned around a bad part of my life and gives me the opportunity to serve Him more. I want everyone reading this Blog to know, I am not saying "I" am special. That is why God has bestowed these gifts on me. We are all special in God's eyes, all individual like snowflakes. I believe that we all have everyone of the Gifts that the Holy Spirit had to give us and can use them all if called to do by God. But we also have different gifts that we each excel in which God in His wisdom will point out to us if we ask. Gifts of the Holy Spirit: 1. The Word of Knowledge 2. The Word of Wisdom 3. The Gift of Prophecy 4. The Gift of Faith 5. The Gifts of Healings 6. The Working of Miracles 7. The Discerning of Spirits 8. Different Kinds of Tongues 9. The Interpretation of Tongues “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) God usually warns me if their is going to be a big upheaval in my lie that pertains to me. Most of the time I don't know what the upheaval will be, but often know the size of it by the dream He gives me. The dream He gives me are waves. The larger the wave that larger the trial coming up. I think that God uses waves with me because I grew up in Southern California and often swam in the ocean. I knew how to calculate the waves, the rhythm of them. When to dive in, an under the wave at the exact point that was need to miss the destructive power of it, then swim beyond it in to safer clearer waters... I also learned what to do and how it felt to be engulfed in a raging wave. One where I might live or die in. I learned to relax in that type of wave, not to fight it, and loose my energy and strength. Be smashed into the sand if necessary and torn and pulled in every direction by that wave. Not panicking, but keeping the air in my lungs in me as long as I could and when tossed up into the air grab as much as my lungs could take in. At those times I realized I had no power, but also always knew that at some point I would be spit out by that wave and tossed out on the beach somewhere. It would have to let me go! I am God's child the waves of evil may take me in and try to engulf me, but I don't need to fight it God is there . . . He will win the battle for me (has won the battle for me)and soon the evil that is working at taking me from God will give up and spit me out, because "I am God's child." Evil will try again and again with temptations, but as long as I stay with God in his word and communication with Him Evil will have no say over me. God always takes these encounters, turns them around and helps me use them as new treasures found, blessings of understanding. Did I like getting caught in the grips of a rouge wave? No. Do I like bouts with evil? No. But with every one I know God is going to turn it around and bless me with more of His knowledge and understanding. I am being refined for the work I have in His kingdom. Hearing and knowing God's word spoken within me did not happen instantly within me, it happened as I grew and God continued to refine me. With new hurdles to learn from. Soon more treasures will be found in them! I understand now that God teaches me through His word and with my earthly trials. This has helped me learn to "Praise God in ALL Things!"
