He sees you

~~I think it is great how during these time of fasting we are able to get away and be with the Lord and just able to speak to him and cry out to him. I was reading this scripture and it brought a lot of thoughts to my mind and moved me in my spirit. John 1:47-50 - When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel. “Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that. Wow here is a quick paraphrase of this situation. So we see Jesus here walking and talking and preaching. I see that Jesus calls a man named Phillip and simply said “follow me' simple words spoken by Jesus yet in the course of him telling men to follow him shaped and change the world that we live in today. It was because of men that answered that call to follow him that others life were changed and impacted by the Gospel of Jesus. First question have you honestly answered that question. “Follow me” It is a simple question yet profound and with some much depth. Follow him means to give up YOUR everything and follow after His everything. It means at times to give up everything you have worked hard for and been looking forward to .Look at Peter a fisherman Jesus told him those exact word “follow me” and at that moment he had the largest catch of fish he had ever caught. Follow him means to deny yourself your purpose your will your wants and to seek what he has for you. Back to the story, Ok then we see Phillip finds this guy named Nathaniel. (I love it Phillip finds Jesus then the next day Phillip finds Nathaniel and introduces him to Jesus. Can you imagine if we had that principal in our young adults? Nathaniel when hearing about Jesus is like ya right you found him, nothing good comes out of Nazareth (vs46) then Jesus tells Nathaniel hey man you're an Israelite and you have no deceit. Nathaniel stunned is like what how do you know me? Then Jesus says “I saw you while you were under the fig tree.” You see a moment that Nathaniel was having alone with God Jesus knew and saw him. Young adults never think that the time you spent with God doesn't get noticed or he doesn't hear you. He hears your prayers and he is with you. During those times you feel like you are by yourself remember he is with you. He will be your cover to all things as the fig tree covered Nathaniel as he was under it. I want to encourage you if you are struggling or feel like you are working doing so much to further the kingdom of God yet don't feel the worth or the acknowledgment for what you are doing. He sees you. Not only does he see you but he tells you like he tells Nathaniel you will see even greater things.
