Good Stuff In The Book

            WHAT book?  The Bible of course. 'You Are Gods Best' is the title of a favourite book of mine, written by the Evangelist T L Osborn. I return to it every so often to remind myself of Gods attitude to me. Here is what He says in the introduction;

This book is based on the GOOD news of the Bible. The news here is all GOOD. Gods plan for you is all GOOD. He is not mad at you. He loves you like you are and He has already paid for every wrong you ever committed. That is what He wants you to know, and He believes in you so much that He thinks you will respond positively to Him as soon as somebody tells you about His love plan.(unquote)

Further on in the book he says;

I regret it when I read books or hear speakers spreading suspicion, guilt and fear. I do not believe any good is accomplished by criticizing, finding fault or by belittling any human person. The most unregenerate person deserves respect as a creation of God. Since God invested so much to create humanity, then to redeem each human being, that causes me to realize how much He values each person. It gives me reason to value them to. (unquote)

We can come to the Bible with an 'I must do attitude' when often it is better to come with an 'I must receive' attitude. There is a lot of good stuff in Gods book that we can receive just because He said it. Take for example, Hebrews 10 v 14; For by one offering(Jesus death) He has perfected for ever those who are being sanctified. Or Colossians 2 v 10; And you are complete in Him(Jesus) who is the head of all principality and power. Or Ephesians 1 v 3; Just as He chose us in Him(Jesus)before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

There's a lot of good stuff in Gods book!! Our attitude can be, 'hey don't blame me, it was Gods idea, He said it and I believe it and receive it!!

Yes!  Knowing/Looking to the Fathers Love is key.....for it is the goodness of God that leads one to repentance....not His wrath, which was already poured out..(once and for all time)...Once known, one no longer looks to what they must do to earn His love..but instead, to what HE did/done because of His love for us..In turn..it then becomes all about Him..not self..

Freely receiving this Love..changes one from the inside out...we are then able to freely give/live..without seeing fault..in ourself, and others..we can see the GOOD stuff in the Word(Jesus)..that builds up, encourages, gives hope and mercy in time of need....

Believe you receive when you ask ,and ye shall have...

I receive your Love,Lord, My prayer is that ALL will know this Love...
