The ways of God are sometimes obvious to us, but many are not understood, as we would like. His timing, something I've found myself struggeling with, may seem endless, especially when we're desperate for His intervention.
David cried out, "How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide your face from me?....Psalm 13:1-2.
We're exhorted however, in Habakkuk 2:3, "For the vision is yet for an APPOINTED TIME; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
It seems that the Lord shows us His plan, but not all we'll go through to bring it to fruition. If we knew what it would take, we could become fearful. But in His wisdom, He withholds that knowledge, so that He can prepare us and grow us up in Him more fully. Then, "IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME," He manifests His promise.
I've been waiting for years for some of His promises to become reality. Although I'm still waiting, I know He's working behind the scenes and will perform all that he's shown me. Mine is to trust.
