Hope & Rest in the Father

As We Wait

As we wait on your direction Lord prepare our hearts to receive the guidance which you will give. Help us to get rid of things which will hinder your glory in our lives. Make us as a piece of pure white parchment. Prepare us to be written as you see fit, not as others do. Write on us your possibilities in our life. Let us not be moved by the strong opinions of others, but allow us to be gently guided by your spirit. Let us not be overwhelmed by the loud voices, but let us hear your whisper saying you need to go this way. Don't let the desires of our hearts overshadow your lighted path for us. Draw us close to you Daddy God, take us into your loving embrace. Let us find love, warmth and understanding in the blanket of your spirit. Allow tears of hurt and confusion to fall and melt the bitterness of disappointment from our hearts. Let us see the path you have prepared for us. Help us to be willing to pay the cost of saying your will be done. We know our calling but help us to wait for the fine tuning of your spirit. Thank you Lord for allowing us to take this journey with you. We want to do your will above our own and to not be moved once you have spoken.

I say prayers like this nearly every day. I crave to hear His voice. I crave to follow in His steps. I hope you can hear His voice.
