From chapter 8 of the book of Luke, God showed two multitudes. In verse 26, Jesus and His disciples sailed to Gerasenes or Gadarenes which is across Galilee. In Gerasenes Jesus healed a demon possessed man and droved the demons to a herd of swine or pigs. The multitude in that region had the choice of being glad for the healing of the man or casting of demon from the man but for some reason they chose to ask Jesus to depart from them.
When Jesus departed (verse 40) and returned (probably to Galilee), a crowd or multitude welcomed Him, for they were all expecting Him.
This story of two multitudes could still be happening today, one is cold toward Jesus or nothing to do with Him , and the other expecting or seeking Him. Today we are faced with seeking God first or seeking financial gain. Seeking our livelihood is not bad but I believe a better or best way is to seek God first and God will provide what we need and more.
