The Word of the Father isthe life of the Son. When we speak of the Word of God it is the Word incarnate of which we speak. Thus, to have the Word of God dwelling in us means that we, first, believe in the Son. The conviction in our hearts of Your supremacy bears witness to the Word dwelling in us.
To say the Word of God has been made flesh is an extraordinarily potent statement. To speak a word is to appeal to the spiritual quality of the intellect which measures the meaning of the word. But to morph that word into corporeal being is to appeal to the human senses – the level at which most of mankind forms its perceptions. Your corporeal human presence was, in fact, the living Word of God. Your life is a message – a direct communication from the Father to mankind. How many times You proclaimed this as recorded in scripture! Again, You are the direct communication of the Father with mankind – wow! If that isn’t a pregnant meditation I don’t know what is.
When we see You, hear You, and are touched by You, we are seeing, hearing, and being touched by the Father. When we are instructed by You, forgiven by You, and loved by You, we are instructed, forgiven, and loved by the Father. There is but one God and one Word, and You are!
Let it not be said of us that “...you do not have His Word dwelling in you because you do not believe in the One He sent.”
