Why is it so hard to maintain a relationship of Praise and Prayer with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

This is a retorical question.

Right after I'm wondering why it is so easy to get distracted from prayer and praise two scriptures on my daily verse calander remind me why.

'Bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.' 2 Cor. 10:5

'Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that Loves us.' Rom. 8:37

The issues of life overcome me more often than they should, I struggle to walk in faith and obedience because my mind wonders so easily. This happens because I spent so many years not bring every thought into captivity, but letting it run with all kinds of prideful and vain thinking. Now that I want ot have my mind transformed by the Holy Spirit I find that it is a real struggle.

I know I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. That I am the righteousness of GOD in Christ Jesus. That I am seated at the righthand of GOD with Christ Jesus. So why do I struggle to walk in faith and obedience?

My issues in life are no more difficult than others, they are mine but others have greater trials to endure. As Paul said, I do the things I do not want to do and do not do the things I want to do.

As I deal with pride and vanity why do the normal things in life become more difficult? Because I am in a spiritual war fighting not aginist flesh and blood but against spiritual powers that want ot destroy me.

But they cannot, I am Blood washed and stand before GOD forgiven, sanctified, and victorious in Christ. I become distracted and overcome when I fight in the flesh on the natural level rather than in Praise and Prayer on the spiritual level where the Holy Spirit has raised me.

When I remember that I am a regenerated  adopted Son of GOD and that the demons are created, fallen, and defeated enemies it is much easier to walk in the victory that is a gift to me. I have not earned or acheved it, Jesus did that for me. I did not gain or aquire it, the Holy Spirit did that in me.

It is up to me by the Grace of GOD and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to walk daily in the Victory that Christ won over sin, the law, and death. I can do this only when I maintain a lifestyle of Praise and Prayer.

Awesome! Praise leads to worship, worship leads to an encounter with Jesus!
