Dead to law and alive to God

Romans 7:4: “So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

If somebody tries to convince you that you have to live according to the Law of Moses today you can be one hundred percent sure that they are ignorant of the sound teaching of the New Covenant. Even if you wanted to live according to it you would fail. The people of old tried and they failed. So will you! The sole purpose of the Law was that of a guardian and educator that had to prepare us to the coming of Christ. Christ did come and the former educator is no longer necessary.

We live under the New Covenant now. Redemption has come. We died to the law so that we could live to God. An educator or guardian cannot occupy position of a father, husband or redeemer. When the perfect timing for redemption came, the Law had to step aside. And it did! Now we have two laws only: love God and your brother. That’s it as far as laws are concerned. Praise God for the tremendous joy and freedom that Christ has bought us by his death. Never belittle his work on the cross. Never!

Oh Trendum, Bless you for this post!..Always excites me to see brothers and sisters renewed by this revelation!!....Many religious folk will come against this, but once the Lord reveals this to a cannot deny it any longer!  His word comes ALIVE in a whole new Light.!!  I felt like I was born Again..AGAIN!

May I add... Romans 14:6 But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive.  So now we serve not under(obedience to)the old code of written regulations, but (under obedience to the promptings) of the Spirit in Newness of Life. (Amplified Bible) altho many only believe in their own version... says it well!

O yes, Love God and Lover your brother..and you have fulfilled the Law

Many Blessings to you,

You are so perfectly correct because we must all love God with all of our heart while loving our brothers and sisters as we love ourselves -- and through love we are to even feed our enemies as written in Romans 12:20 -- yet we have this entire world of believers who can see only themselves praising God while having no care for others in any way whatsoever beyond shallow and empty words? Why is that? Revelation 12:9 answers clearly, but believers refuse our Lords words of truth to all just as they put confidence in this world of shephers who feed not their sheep. Where is your love? What have you done for others? How have you helped the homeless? How obedient to God the Father are you? Do you participate in holidays unwritten such as Christmas and Easter Christ had no part of?

When we look only to our Father just as Christ in John 8:28b-29, we must follow only Him as our Head -- because if we do not, we are not part of the only true church of God -- but rather the buildings of man where Satan dwells. Revelation 2:13

You seem to loop everyone on here in the same catogory. Where is your love?, Have you taken care of the homeless?  Are celebrating Pagan Holidays?

I want to know..This is your business HOW?  You know none of us..but yet you feel you know what we are doing with what God has given us. Im sure many of us on here have given to the homeless, the orphan and the widow, as the Lord leads. You have put yourself in a place above everyone else and you declare you don't feel the love of any because of scripture "you claim" says you are supposssed to be treated this way??  Im sorry, but you are very mislead my brother. We are to build up the body, encourage, NOT tear down....this is loving your brother as well as taking care of them...

Maybe your vision of others comes from the lack that is in the Phillipines.  I know of many there, struggling to survive. I have a dear friend and her husband who did mission work there back in 2011. May I add a tid bit of her love and heart for the Philipines. They were in Manilla.. and she blogs on another site that I frequent. .             Her speaking...

Oh how sweet it is to be “home!” For days I’ve been experiencing many “simple things,” as if for the first time. It seems that I can’t inhale the refreshing air deeply enough into my pollution-filled lungs! I’m captivated by the beauty of all the trees and wild flowers around our twenty acres! I could sit for hours and listen to the multitude of birds singing! The taste of a big, juicy, grilled hamburger is delectable! The peace and quiet of our little country home is like music to my over-stimulated ears and mind! And… is so nice to spend some time alone! Yet, in many ways, I miss the Philippines.

I’ve become more aware that in the “western world” almost all of us have so much more fresh food, pure water, material possessions and space than we could ever truly need. Striving to be financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually independent, westerners frantically go hither and yon in order to keep up with its culture’s expectations of a “successful” family life. Even within the Christian circle, the underlying attitude is, “I don’t really need God. I can take care of myself. Thank you very much!” This earthly kingdom development shouldn’t come as a surprise, however. After all, independence was a primary founding principle of America.

In the Philippines, it isn’t uncommon to find hundreds of families packed like sardines in squatter areas along the river. The water reeks with human and animal waste. The homes are tiny, one-room shanties made from scavenged “building supplies” with the outside wall of one often being the inside wall of another! The majority of people are not even sure where the next meal is going to come from. There are blessings, however, to living under such stark conditions! Unlike those who are more westernized, I’ve noticed that the members of these communities are typically very aware of how desperately they need one another and their Creator!

She also ministered to the many children being prostituted there and carried a heavy heart home with her. She has a love for your people... And she has asked the Lord, what she is to do with the many visions and thoughts that now lay inside her.

So ..I shared all this to say this...Not everyone in the USA is without heart for the many in lack...many see the needs and fill them. We are led by the Spirit as to "where" and as to "who" HE leads us to minister to.

Could it be, that with all the devastation before your see  NO ONE caring...? which leads you to say what you do?   I'm sure you will disagree...but it is food for thought...May our Lord show you

Thanks for the comments guys. This topic arises a lot of question. I believe Satan is afraid of Christians who clearly understand mighty things that happened when the Covenants changed. The New one is so much better. And it enables us to love God and our neighbour more efficiently that the people under the Old Testament could do.

A lot of thanks to our Lord Jesus.
