There are many people that have the mistaken notion that when they accept Jesus as their Saviour that they are given a free ticket into Heaven, and this is not exactly true. We know that we all sin constantly and that there is eventual punishment for these sins. The atoning death of Jesus was our vicarious punishment for our sins and we are free from further penalty when we die if we sincerely accept and have faith in His actions. If we do not accept Jesus with total and honest faith, then we must suffer whatever penalties are given to us upon our death… Many just say the words and then continue their lives as usual believing that they have a free pass into Disneyworld. The reality is that when we ask Jesus to come into our lives and to be our substitute for punishment that we now have a responsibility that few take completely serious. Remission for the penalties of our sins was not the only aspect that Jesus accomplished upon His death, there are other parts of the program and it is up to each of us to find out what and how to accomplish the necessary elements to gain access to Heaven. And the place where we find these instructions is from the Bible.

The Bible was given to us and the stories and doctrine must be studied in order to understand the way to approach the gate and hope that the door is opened to us. Reading the instruction manual is not something that we can have someone else do and then have them explain to us what we must do. We are expected to do this obligation ourselves in order to gain the understanding that we need. We must recognize that we are trying to establish a personal relationship with Jesus and we get to know Him by reading about His actions and principles. He already knows all about each one of us, so He does not need to study anything to find out what we are like…

The lack of understanding that the stories of the people in the Bible are meant to be an example for us is where the problem begins. Each story or event described in the Bible has a meaning, and often many meanings, from which we should learn the way to establish our relationship. We are shown what happens when the biblical characters did things in accordance with whatever Laws of God existed at that time, and we are shown what happens when they did not. These events are meant for us to learn what happens as we relate to the experience being described. But, if we do not read the stories, then we can never gain that knowledge and our relationship with Jesus diminishes. Unfortunately, most people read the Bible and just consider the stories and events just as they would when reading a novel. They do not grasp the concept that these are lessons for us and not just stories about other people.

It is absolutely essential that each person who comes to Jesus with a request for salvation read the Bible to gain the necessary knowledge to have that request answered. It is unreasonable thinking to believe that God will take anyone seriously if they do not even read the necessary instructions for salvation. People believe that if they lead a good life, according to their own notion of a good life, and go to services every weekend that it will be sufficient for them to gain entrance into Heaven. The truth is that person does not have to ever enter a church and will be admitted into Heaven if that person learns, by biblical study, the requirements for Christian behavior and sincerely attempts to adhere to this doctrine…If a person has faith in what is given as doctrine and is completely convinced of the rationality of Christian principles, then that person will do well. But, if a person never discovers in what they are supposed to have faith, it is foolish to think that God will look upon them with favor.

The excuse that the Bible is difficult to understand does not give us the freedom to eliminate this element towards salvation. If a person is deemed by God as being serious, then the Spirit will guide and assist that individual. And, there are many aids and other people that will help anyone to gain the understanding, but the actual study must be done by the individual. Church groups can be very helpful in assisting individuals to understand the lessons offered to us, But, we must be very cautious about from where the groups gain their knowledge. Today, most groups use an altered edition of the Bible and that can create a problem, but that does not mean that each of us cannot choose the correct edition from which we gain our understanding. Faith in what we learn is the evidence of our sincerity and proof of our study, but few ever get that far as much as they claim. If all individuals that claim to be good Christians had done the necessary requirement of reading the instruction manual, then we would not be looking at laws allowing abortion, the elimination of voluntary school prayer, acceptance of homosexuality and many other insults to Christian principles. Many people have fooled others into believing that they are good and honest Christian believers, but no one is ever going to fool God… Jesus tells us that without question that very few will pass through the gate…Believe Him !!!

Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. Philippians 3:17-19

We are all as believers to live by every word as written in Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4 and Deuteronomy 8:3 because every word written in pure and true. Psalms 12:6, 18:30, 119:140, Proverbs 30:5 -- and that means no. . .

"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits[a] of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8

What all teachers should be teaching all believers worldwide is only waht's written with no interpretation as written in 2 Peter 1:19-21 -- And the reason is because according to the words of our Lord that believers refuse to believe as written in Psalms 14:2-3, 53:2-3, and Revelation 12:9 -- this entire world has been misled by false teachers and preacher of every beliefs everywhereon this earth.

What should be taught to all believers seeking truth are not the words of man, the the words that come only from looking to the Father just as our Head Jesus Christ in John 8:28b and 29 because we want to please the Father. So all must understand now that the words written are true and directed at all believers -- so rather than ignore those verses I shared above -- every believer on this earth should be crying out to God in sorrow while seeking His driection and mercy for the massive storms approaching all humanity who is in no way prepared by God's own words they refuse to believe whie only taking in philosphy from fasle teachers everywhere; and that means in all the buildings of man on this plabet, all the web sites, all religious education and just any intake that does not come from following the written instruction needed to gain the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 1:5, 7, 22-33 is for all believers today as the many. Verse 33 is the few. Proverbs 2:4-6 are instruction in the only way to gain the fear of the Lord which is understanding of God. Proverbs 6:4-6 is warning to the sluggard who is Satan in 1 Peter 5:8

We all as this entire world's civilization are nearing the beginning of sorrows as written in Matthew 24:4-8 and Revelation 6:1-8 -- and just as our Lord tells all how He sees them, believers refuse to believe because shepherds worldwide feed not their sheep as written in Ezekiel 34 -- and neither do teachers from their own minds. God is love; therefore the only way to know God is to have love in your heart for others; yet I have been murdered as written in 1 John 3:14-17 for years now -- yet I can still love all because they know not what they do just as those who crucified Christ. Luke 23:34.

May God be with you all while Christ become your only source through His written words the body of Christ must follow to be the only true church rather than the endless words of man using no scripture.

Brothers, if you would put more trust in God then trust in "your way" of trying to "redeem man", we would be loving our brother and sister as we are suppossed to...encouraging and uplifting the body...and not persecuting.....Altho I believe you both mean well...I for one...don't feel the love!!...I know, I know.. its not about our "feelings" in the natural...That was just a play on words... It would be so nice to see brothers and sisters coming together, sharing, caring... "focused" on HIM...NOT what "we think" He means in His word... Can we just let God be God?

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face...and the things of earth will grow strangely the light of His glory and grace.( just a little tune in my head right now!)

This site is for people IN Christ... right?(or I thot it was)... not those in the world who know Him not...we must quit trying to perfect HIS body. this is HIS doing.... His head is fully capable of helping us function...

Blessings to you both...may He continue HIS will for our lives... Peace

Sonshine, your words mean well, but just as all believers in this world filled with division, words are all you have with zero compassion beyond the tongue which according to God makes you one of this world and a murderer. My wife and I have no food, no gas for out stove and no fish for our 4 cats. Our home was a one car garage or storage building we made ininto a place to live. Our electricity comes from the home of the man that sold us the lot, and for seven months now on his power he wants to be paid. My wife has been in the hospital more than once due her weak heart. Through years past we were near homless, without power or water and many other difficulties -- and all we ever received was words as your with no more. Is preaching Christ and love with zero actions not being a hypocrite without roots? John 15:1-6

Where is your love with compassion Sonshine? In words only like all religious people? God sees you all as murders. 1 John 3:14-17 -- and God is love. 1 John 4:7-8 -- God's words are pure. Psalms 12:6, 18:30, 119:140, Proverbs 30:5 -- Yet this entire world of believers refuse to see how God sees them all as written in Psalms 14:2-3, 53:2-3. Revelation 119:140 and uncountable more words from our Lord believers do not believe. Where is you compassion with love and obedience Sonshine? Do you love Christ? Do you actually do His new commandment in John 13:34? --- Because if you refuse, no blessings for the tree of life as written in Revelation 22:14. Words to God mean nothing, its our heart with actions that He looks for -- but rarely finds. Please feel free to judge, scorn and hate me as all other believers do because truth they want not.
