Who Gives Kudos:

OUR FALLOW TIMES

In the soil of our hearts

We plant the seeds

Which spring to life and grow

Becoming all our words and deeds

In this fertile garden

Germinates all art

In this patch of inner landscape

All inventions had their start

When tilled and watered

With special care

Beauty blossoms everywhere

Faithfully we pluck the weeds

Of silly thoughts

And foolish deeds

But each and every

Well kept soil

Pays a price

For ceaseless toil

And needs its fallow times

Times to rest

And to replenish

The nutrients of life

Or the fruit will be depleted

And wither on the vine

Those who eat

Will leave malnurished

Andlack the strength

For their own toil

Spinning famines cycle

Further down the chain

So, each of us as tillers

Of our heart's field must try

To set aside our fallow times

To: Rest, Rejuvenate, Replenish

To bring forth fruit

That's fresh and live
