1 Thessalonians 1:3; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father.
Be encouraged my brethren for we indeed have hope. Our hope is in our Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ. No matter what you are going through in your lives, the Lord goes before you in all things, and He will make a way for you to come through your fiery trial in victory.
There are so many people in this world who have no hope. They have their minds blinded by the enemy, and they will pass on into eternity without the Lord Jesus. It is our responsibility as followers of Jesus to reach out to them in love, and to tell them that the Lord loves them, and that He wants to have a personal relationship with them. How many times have we passed by people walking down the street, and the Holy Spirit prompts us to tell them of Jesus' love for them, but we don't? I know that I have done this more times than I can count, and I have repented of this. There is a world of lost and hurting souls, that have no hope in this life. We must not only tell them of the Lord's love for them, but we must show them as well, in and through our testimony in Jesus.
A young boy in my community took his own life today while at school. When I heard the news, my heart broke for him and for his family. I immediately began to pray for this boy's family, and for my city, that the Lord would bring healing and peace to this place. The Lord spoke to my heart, that we as a nation have put our faith and trust in the things of this world, and have all but pushed God out of the minds and hearts of not only our schools and government, but out of the very souls of our people as well. The Lord Jesus is our only hope in this life, and it is time that we who are of the household of faith to proclaim the gospel of peace to this lost and dying world that needs Jesus. We must first start in our own homes by praying and reading God's holy word with our families. We must then go out into our communities and witness to those that are lost and hurting. We must let the world know that there is hope, and that hope can only be found in the Lord Jesus.
As I sit here in my study writting this post, a precious family in my community is having to cope with the loss of their precious son. Oh, what must be going through their minds right now. My prayer is that the Lord will comfort them in this time of tremendous pain and agony, and that He will give them hope. We who are of the household of faith have this hope I speak about. We have the Lord Jesus in our hearts, and His precious love as well. We must tell the world that Jesus loves them, and that in Him they will find rest. In Him they will find hope and peace which passeth all understanding. The Lord is reaching out to a lost and dying world. He is wanting to use us to minister to this dying generation, of the hope that can only be found in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Will you be obedient to the Lord, and seek His face and contend for the lost souls in your communities? Will you step out in faith and witness to those whom the Lord puts on your heart to minister to? Will you be the salt and light that the Lord has called you to be for this lost generation?
Precious brethren, please pray for this young boy's family. Please pray that the Lord will comfort them in the midst of this tragedy. Last night my family and I attended the candle light vigil for this boy, and I was touched by the outpouring of support for his family. As a result of the preaching of the Lord's word by some of our brothers and sisters in the Lord, some of the people at the vigil came to the Lord in repentance and were saved. Praise Jesus! Please pray for our community as the Lord is bringing revival.
Be encouraged my brethren, for the Lord is returning soon. We must preach the gospel of peace to this lost and dying world. We must go out to the highways and the byways, and preach that Jesus is indeed the Prince of Peace, and that He is the only hope for this world. We must start at home, with our own families, and then go out to this lost and dying world and preach the Good News. Will you my brethren commit to being a witness and a testimony to those who have no hope? Will you be a conduit of the Lord's love to those who are lost and dying? Will you allow the Holy Spirit to use you in reaching the lost for Jesus? Look up my brethren, for your redemption draws near!
