He was a heavenly being who set aside his heavenly glory and became lower than the angels to become a man. A man had to exercise lawful dominion over the earth. He made nothing of himself -- emptied himself so he could be filled with the Spirit. Then not thinking it robbery to be equal to God, he was once again made higher than the angels. 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
I can call him "my god" since the God-in-him is the only God I can see. While it is true I can see God in many other people, the expression is not as complete or perfect.

We come to these posts assuming everyone believes in the same Jesus but then find out this is not true. We do not all believe in the same Jesus and that should be the primary motivation in being here, yes? To lift up the Lord Jesus?
Jesus was already lifted up once on the cross. We need not do that again. John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
If we believe Jesus was the Messiah with that anointing of the Holy Spirit which is called the Christ Spirit in the New Testament, then we believe also that he can impart that same Spirit to us. He who believes this will be saved; and he who does not believe stands in a state of condemnation without the Holy Spirit.
