Duhhhh!! No kidding Sherlock. "Creed" is from the Latin Credo which means "belief". To recite a Creed is to say what you believe.

Credo in unum Deum........ (I believe in one God........)

A Creed does not a Salvation make, it is nothing more than a guide as to what basic beliefs Christians believe, but not all things found within a Creed have to be believed by all Christians.
Creeds were made later, yes, by men. Perhaps by well intentioned men, but by fallible men.

Up to the time of Nicea, different bishops had different creeds they used. People got along by exercising Christian charity. Then when they decided to make everything uniform, they started fighting and calling each other heretics.

The Apostles Creed? The first known reference to it was when Ambrose of Milan produced it.

Rubbish. That was then, this is now, and the Church still hasnt thrown out a Dogma. The Church still teaches Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus as Dogma.

If someone could prove that the Church threw out a Dogma, should I leave the Catholic Church for a Church that threw out a dozen or more Dogmas, along with five Sacraments, some of the Canon, Apostolic succession, obedience to the decision of Ecumenical councils, and the (ordained) priesthood?

Liturgical rubrics are another Casualty of most Independant Church's.

That was the way Christians worshipped for rougly 1500 years and shouldnt be dismissed lightly.

I still prefer the Church with the least amount of moral relativism, and the most Dogmatic consistency.

I'm with you.

The wonderment of the Apostles Creed and the collective agreement is quite a strong weapon against Satan. It has a value that perhaps is not grasped by the general public.

When Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego spoke forth what they believed per Daniel 3:17, 18 it was very much a creed and was pronounced as such and honored by God.
